Why Kendall Jenner Skipped the Premiere of The Kardashians

Culture

On Thursday night, Hulu’s new show The Kardashian had its premiere in Los Angeles and almost everyone from the Kardashian and Jenner family was in attendance, but Kendall Jenner was notably absent. While her tequila brand 818 was pouring freely, the model was no where to be seen. She wanted to be there, but circumstances got in the way.

A source told E! News that Kendall “tried really hard to be there and support the family but was really sick.”

They didn’t elaborate on what was keeping Kendall under the weather. The event, held at Goya Studios, did include Kendall’s sisters, Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian and their mom, Kris Jenner. Most of the family were accompanied by their partners as well, with Kim making her first public appearance with her new boyfriend, Pete Davidson.

“He’s here to support me. It’s my thing,” Kim told E!’s Daily Pop at the premiere as she walked the red carpet without him. “I don’t think it’s his thing to be all up here with me. So, I’m just so happy he’s here.”

Kourtney was accompanied by Travis Barker, making their first public appearance since they held a wedding ceremony in Las Vegas. They even posed together with their children, Alabama Barker, Reign Disick, Landon Barker and Atiana De La Hoya, forming a family group.

Though Davidson didn’t walk the red carpet, a source told Page Six the SNL was “very much a part of the family.”

“All the kids were there, so he’s met them all now,” they said. “He was hanging out with Scott Disick and Jonathan Cheban. Him and Kim seemed very comfortable together.”

A second insider said, “Pete hung out with Kim most of the night and was friendly with everyone.”
