Not so hot take: Applying SPF is always fun, because you’re preventing aging, sunburns, and future skin cancer. But it’s even more fun this summer with the new Shiseido and Tory Burch collab, which combines the Japanese-brand’s most beloved and blendable SPFs (Ultimate Sun Protector Lotion SPF 50+ Sunscreen and Clear Sunscreen Stick SPF 50+) with a super-kawaii print from the American designer.
Shiseido’s instantly recognizable golden yellow packaging is dotted with dainty white flowers that were inspired by the flora found in Burch’s vacation home in Antigua. Both the cream and stick formulas are Hawaii-compliant and free of oxybenzone and octinoxate. The collab comes with a virtuous moment: the two brands have combined forces to fund a year-long of clinical research fellowship focused on skin cancer at Memorial Sloan Kettering.
Taking the kawaii-ness a step further, Burch designed an entire capsule collection to match: there’s a ruffled UPF swim shirt, bikini top and bottom, flip flops, and tote bag so you fully protect yourself from the sun this summer.
