Kate Middleton Is Lovely in a Semi-Sheer Polka Dot Dress While Supporting Ukraine

Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, showed her support for the people of Ukraine today on a solo engagement.

The royal dressed in the country’s national colors, blue and yellow, to visit the Reading Ukrainian Community Centre in Reading, England.

Her look consisted of a sheer button-up navy collared dress with mustard yellow polka dots. She layered the see-through piece over a navy slip, and styled it with navy pumps and a camel coat. For accessories, the princess stayed true to her classic style, carrying a black quilted clutch with golden hardware, pearl drop earrings, and her diamond and sapphire engagement ring. Her makeup was natural, and she wore her hair in casual waves.

At the community center, Kate met with displaced Ukrainian families and spoke with them about how the organization is helping refugees arriving in the United Kingdom as a result of the war with Russia.

Vladimir Putin’s war on Ukraine began on February 24 of this year, and the attacks have not ceased. Since then, about 40,000 Ukrainian civilians have been killed, and 15 million to 30 million have been displaced, General Mark A. Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told The New York Times earlier this month.

From the start, Kate and husband Prince William have made their support for Ukraine clear.

A day after the war was declared, they shared a rare personal and political message declaring that they “stand with” President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the people of Ukraine.

Then in March, they paid a visit to London’s Ukrainian Cultural Centre to learn of the support being given to refugees. The royals also met with with London-based members of the Ukrainian community and helped sort out donations to send to those in need.

And in April, William and Kate met with aid workers from the Disasters Emergency Committee at their London office after the organization raised more than £300 million for the Ukrainian humanitarian response. Both wore Ukrainian flag pins for the visit.
