If you want a solid workout to help you lose weight, get sweaty, burn calories, and build lean muscle, try this 40-minute strength-training workout from NASM-certified personal trainer Sydney Cummings. This workout is focused on the legs and abs and includes two rounds of 13 exercises. Each move is executed for 45 seconds and followed by 15 seconds of rest. You’ll need dumbbells and a bench or sturdy chair for lunges and step-ups.
Cummings wrote in the caption, “I used my 15, 20, 25, 30, and 40 pound dumbbells today so grab some weights that challenge you in moves that are as light as a lunge and as heavy as a glute bridge!” If those weights seem too heavy, use what you feel comfortable with, and as you build up your strength by working out regularly, you’ll be able to go heavier.
