High School Senior Brie Clark Just Casually Landed a Biles on Floor — and She *Nailed* It

Brie Clark has always wanted to land a Biles. Successfully competing one of the four moves named after the undisputed GOAT of the sport “would be amazing,” the high school senior told POPSUGAR. It would mean she’s capable of landing “one of the same skills as the greatest gymnast of all time.”

That dream came true this month when Clark officially landed the Biles on floor (a double layout half) in competition, making her only the fourth person in the world to do so (after Biles, London Phillips, and Trinity Thomas). “It still doesn’t feel real,” Clark confessed. “To only have been the fourth person to ever land it is kind of crazy . . . I know that without God none of it would be possible.”

Clark plans to continue her gymnastics career at Utah State later this year. Her goal there: “continue to grow as a gymnast and a person,” she said, with the goal of one day becoming a doctor. For now, though, she’s still celebrating the big accomplishment of landing one of Simone Biles’s signature moves. Her message to the Olympic champion?

“I would tell her that she has inspired me as well as other gymnasts that you don’t have to limit yourself to what’s [already] been done,” Clark said. In and out of the gym, “you can push yourself to do things that you never thought you could do.”
