We asked Instagram to restore chronological order snd they gave us Instagram Stories. We begged again for the algorithm to return to its original format, and Instagram gave us Reels. We kept campaigning for chronological order, so Instagram gave us the next best thing: a Cardi B reality show.
A reality show on Instagram? Yes, you read that correctly. Launching today, December 17, Cardi B’s new series, titled Cardi Tries, follows the star as she tries her hand at activities she’s never done before. Returning to the world of reality television since her departure from VH1’s Love & Hip-Hop in 2016, viewers will watch as practices ballet with renowned dancer, choreographer, actress, and director Debbie Allen; learns how to cook sushi and serve it at a restaurant; goes behind the scenes at a wig-making factory, and plays basketball. “Have you done ballet before?” Allen asks Cardi in the clip. “I used to be a stripper,” she replies.
The new eight-episode series was created by Facebook Messenger and Jesse Collins Entertainment and is part of the platform’s new Watch Together feature, where families and friends can watch content together in real time on Facebook Messenger and Instagram. Cardi Tries will debut a new episode every Thursday starting today until February 4.
