This Women’s History Month, it’s time to have a seat. More specifically, a #SeatAtTheTable. On March 23, The Female Quotient, NBCUniversal, The Female Lead, and ELLE magazine are partnering to invite women to fill a table—both literally and metaphorically—and be part of a global conversation around closing equality gaps. After all, the experts on how to fix these issues? The women experiencing it firsthand.
How it’ll work: RSVP to host a discussion. Fill it with the women in your community. Discuss mentorship, caregiving, entrepreneurship, representation, education, mental health, or whatever issues matter most to you. Then raise awareness by sharing your participation across social media.

What is #SeatAtTheTable?
#SeatAtTheTable aims to bring together women from more than 100 countries in order to converse and collaborate on what’s needed to eradicate gender inequality in and outside of the workplace.
On March 23, The Female Quotient, NBCUniversal, The Female Lead, and ELLE magazine will host female leaders from across industries at an in-person gathering in New York City, featuring a panel conversation, inspiring talks, and small group discussions. Women like Olympian Lisa Leslie, makeup artist Bobbi Brown, model Brooke Shields, and actresses Emeraude Toubia, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, and Anna Chlumsky will be involved in the initiative.
Similarly, #SeatAtTheTable is encouraging women around the world to self-organize their own gatherings to advance the conversation around gender equality.
