Amal Clooney Opens Up About Marriage With George Clooney And Their Twins

Amal and George Clooney are a very glamorous couple that manage to keep fans enthralled without ever revealing much about their private lives. In an interview with

Time magazine published on March 2, Amal gave a rare glimpse into what it’s like living their life of a human rights activist, a famous actor, and two four-year-old twins.

“Marriage has been wonderful,” she said. “I have in my husband a partner who is incredibly inspirational and supportive, and we have a home filled with love and laughter.”

The twins, Ella and Alexander, are apparently a joy to parent and Amal gushed about how much more wonderful it’s been than she expected.

“It is a joy beyond anything I could ever have imagined,” said Amal. “I feel so lucky to have found a great love in my life, and to be a mother—this is how I get my balance.”

Though Amal speaks infrequently about the Clooney’s marriage and family, George has definitely shared his perspective in the past. Just last November, the award-winning actor appeared on an episode of the WTF With Marc Maron podcast, where he told the host that his wife is “the most extraordinary, smart, brilliant, beautiful woman” he’s ever met or been with and that he “couldn’t be happier.”

George never really intended to get married, but everything changed when they met. He told Maron, “Listen, I didn’t want to get married; I didn’t want to have kids. And then this extraordinary human being walked into my life and I just fell madly in love.”

They were first noted as a couple in October 2013, attending a dinner party on a date and within a year they were married in Venice, Italy. Since then, they seem to have been living the dream, even if we don’t hear much about it.
