Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck Were Photographed Kissing In Santa Monica Hours Before Engagement Announcement

Hours before they announcement their engagement, newly affianced couple Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were seen looking at a retail space in Santa Monica on Friday. This is the second time the couple has been engaged, the first time being in 2002. They called it off in 2004, before reuniting again in 2021. On their casual date, J.Lo wore a striped long sleeve t-shirt with jeans in a bell bottom style. She had her hair swept back in a bun and pair of aviator sunglasses on.

On her feet, she wore open-toe wedge sandals, giving her a couple extra inches of height as they walked hand-in-hand. Lopez accessorized with gold hoop earrings, and a small gold pendant on a thin chain. In several pics of the couple, Lopez smiles up at her fiancé, who is wearing a trucker cap, grey t-shirt, and a pair of jeans matching his black jacket and boots.

The two stopped to kiss and be affectionate as they surveyed potential spaces, with Affleck carrying the folders of layouts and logistics. They appeared to be searching through office property for a future business venture.

Soon after the outing, J.Lo shared a video of herself crying as she displayed her new engagement ring on her official website. The green stone glittering at the center was surrounded by smaller diamonds, and is reminiscent in size and shape to the first engagement ring Affleck gave her twenty years ago. That ring featured a pink diamond, but Lopez has talked a lot about the significance of the color green for her since then.

In her newsletter, she referenced the green Versace dress she wore to the 2000 Grammys first, saying, “I always say the color green is my lucky color. Maybe you can remember a certain green dress. I’ve realized there are many moments in my life where amazing things happened when I was wearing green.”
