Ryan Reynolds brought his signature Ryan Reynolds humor to the Tonight Show last night when he made a surprise, borderline oversharing quip about his sex life with his wife Blake Lively to Jimmy Fallon.
The host asked the Red Notice actor, “How’s Blake? How are the kids?”
Reynolds responded back, “You know, they’re all good. Blake’s—no personal questions, by the way. But Blake is great. The sex is totally normal.”
Fallon laughed and said, “I wasn’t going to ask that.”
Reynolds kept the joke going, telling Fallon, “Hey, hey, hey! Pump the sex brakes, Jimmy. I asked no personal questions, and you’re going right in on it, all right? Barbara Walters, easy.”

Reynolds spoke more sincerely about what makes his nearly 10-year marriage to Lively work in an interview with Entertainment Tonight earlier this week. He credited it to their friendship largely. (The two got married in 2012 and have three daughters together now.)
“We don’t take each other too seriously, but we’re also friends,” Reynolds said. “Falling in love is great, but do you like each other? That’s kinda the question you gotta ask yourself, you know, going into it.” With Lively, “We’ve always liked each other,” he added. “We grow together. We learn from each other. So yeah, I’m lucky to have a buddy in that.”
Reynolds additionally told Access Hollywood this week that he truly is thrilled to have all girls with Lively. “I would not have it any other way,” he said of having all girls, via People. “When we had our youngest, I was quietly terrified it was gonna be a boy because I didn’t know, we didn’t know. I didn’t know anything but girls. I grew up with boys and I was constantly being thrown through walls when there was a perfectly good door five feet away.”
