Selena Gomez Masters Cozy-Chic Style in a Striped Sweater and Slippers at NYC Recording Studio

Selena Gomez, queen of cozy clothes and fabulous outerwear, put her own cozy-chic spin on sweater weather in New York City yesterday. Gomez was photographed leaving Electric Lady Studios late last night in Manhattan. She wore a black-and-white striped Everlane sweater with black pants and slippers. Her hair was styled up in a ponytail. (Gomez recently wore the same sweater out to dinner at Carbone, pairing it with a black Mango peacoat for a dressier take.)

Gomez spoke to Rolling Stone in an interview published earlier this month about the new music she’s making and her decision to move to New York City, where she’ll begin shooting Only Murders in the Building season 3 soon.

“I have people literally say to me, ‘Stop saying you don’t like L.A.,’” she said. “But if I’m honest, my schedule in New York is the crème de la crème. I have my system there, I have my workouts there, I have my coffee spots there. I get to walk and breathe there, and be inspired by New York City and the people and the life there.”

“I like all the slush and grossness,” she added of New York winters. “I love being near all the Jewish grandmas. Nothing compares to being in your home in a blanket by the fireplace just reading or watching something.”

As for her music, Gomez revealed she had written 24 songs that she tentatively planned to start recording by the end of this year. “‘My Mind and Me’ is a little sad,” she explained of the first new song to come out, “but it’s also a really nice way of putting a button on the documentary part of life, and then it’ll just be fun stories of me living my life and going on dates and having conversations with myself. I feel like it’s going be an album that’s like, ‘Oh, she’s not in that place anymore; she’s actually just living life.’”

Is The HigherDose Infrared Sauna Blanket Worth It?

When it comes to wellness, I’m almost always game to try a new product or experience. Sitting in a hyperbaric oxygen chamber? Sure. Cryotherapy? I’ve dabbled. But the luxury wellness experience that I have been obsessed with since the very first time I tried it in 2017 is infrared sauna. There’s just one small snag: I live in a studio apartment, so I can neither afford to have a full wooden spa buildout, nor to spend hundreds of dollars a month going to the spa. Back in 2020, I found myself missing my favorite wellness splurge as the seasons began to change when going to a spa was not possible, but I did know that HigherDose had a nifty at-home solution: the Infrared Sauna Blanket.

I have owned the product for many years now, and I can honestly say that this sleeping bag with far infrared rays has been my most used wellness item. The daily routine of getting into a pair of sweats and slipping in for 45 minutes almost every day of the week during the peak dreary months of early 2021 saved me from going a little bit batty. And the heat? At the highest setting it warms up to a toasty 158 degrees, raising my internal body temperature, boosting circulation, and kicking my sweat output into high gear.

It’s the perfect—and most relaxing—complement to a brisk walk and an at-home workout. On Sundays, it makes for a great way to unwind and hit re-set for the week ahead. When I do it on a regular basis, I find that it seriously helps with aches and pains, and it’s said to help with muscle recovery; and because it gets your heart rate up, you burn some extra calories. Also, I can highly suggest hopping in to the sauna blanket in the morning. You emerge revitalized, wide awake, and oh-so relaxed. No caffeine necessary!

These days, I’m still using my sweat burrito, as I lovingly call it, on regular basis, and even though they’ve released an updated version (linked here) since I got mine, with a zipper closure that surely is easier to use, I honestly wouldn’t change a thing about this wellness essential. It makes me feel amazing to stop and take a meditative moment to myself. Better still, HigherDose has released a line of body care to use in tandem with the sauna blanket, and I have seriously taken to the Get Salty Spray, which is a blend of Zechstein magnesium and water. Not only does it help replenish the electrolytes that I sweat out, but it also gives me a vital boost of magnesium, which is necessary for calming the nervous system, helping with muscle tension, and even inducing restorative sleep.

Dare I say it, with this little ritual … I feel like Gwyneth Paltrow. It’s a luxe experience within the comfort of my home. And did I mention? It gives me the most unreal glow. When I’m done, I simply let it cool down, clean it, and then fold it to be stored underneath my bed, easy as that.

All in all, it’s a routine that I won’t be letting go of anytime soon.

Naomi Osaka’s Holiday Gift Guide for Fitness Lovers

naomi osaka holiday gift guide 2022

Getty + Design Leah Romero

Naomi Osaka is already a legend. At just 25 years old, she’s a Grand Slam Champion…four times over. She’s also an entrepreneur, a fashion lover, a philanthropist, and an advocate. Be it as the first Asian tennis player to hold the number one ranking, or as an advocate for mental health, Osaka knows how to make waves.

Currently ranked as the number two player in the world, the Japanese-Haitian-American has handled the global athletic stage with dignity and humility. Amid making lists like Time Magazine’s “100 Most Influential People” and earning titles like Sports Illustrated’s “Sportsperson of the Year,” she remains dedicated to setting the standard for societal activism, sportsmanship, and self-care. And you thought your plate was full.

“My schedule can get pretty hectic, so I always value the holiday season as a time where things slow down and family can come together,” Osaka says. “It’s so important to take time to reset and share quality time with loved ones. It grounds me no matter how crazy life can get.”

Out-of-office and off the court, Osaka says she loves to help out in the kitchen during the holidays. And of course, she loves giving out presents. “I love searching for the perfect gift for each of my loved ones,” she says. “Seeing the smile on people’s faces when they open a gift that you’ve picked out specifically for them is priceless.”

Here, find Osaka’s handbook for holiday gifting.

What’s your go-to holiday gift?

I love crystals, and they make for great gifts.

Do you have a favorite under-$50 gift?

KINLÒ’s Self-Care Kit. It’s a great reminder to take some time to yourself and give your skin the TLC it deserves. It includes hydrating and soothing products like the Hydrating Facial Oil and Golden Mist, along with the Golden Renewal Candle that has the most relaxing aroma. I love lighting it to set the tone for some mindfulness and self-care after a long day.

What’s the best gift you’ve ever received?

Anything heartfelt. I love when a gift feels really sincere, and you can tell that someone put thought into it.

Best gift that can be found on Amazon?

Levi’s Sunglasses. Amazon has a great selection of styles, so there is something for everybody!

What’s the number one thing on your wish list this year?

The number one thing on my wish list this year would have to be Overwatch 2. I can’t wait to play a ton during off-season.

Ideal gift in a last-minute scenario?

Gift cards are a great last-minute gift! I love that they are easy to find and customize. My go-to gift cards are usually spa treatments or someone’s favorite restaurant.

What’s a gift you always have on-hand, just in case?

I always keep candles on-hand as emergency gifts. Everyone loves a candle, so you can never go wrong with that.

Anything for kids?

My new book, “The Way Champs Play”! It’s all about inspiring kids to chase their dreams and believe in themselves. This one is extra special to me too, because a portion of proceeds go to Play Academy with Naomi Osaka.

How about for guys?

Guys can be so hard to shop for, but I think a cool pair of shoes is one of my favorite gifts to give the men in my life. I think it’s fun to customize a pair of Nike’s based on who you’re gifting. They’re easy, because once you know their shoe size, you know they will fit.

Considering all possibilities, what would your dream gift be?

I love experiences as gifts, so having someone plan a vacation for me would be a dream. With my busy schedule, I would love to go somewhere tropical to just relax.

What would you gift a fellow tennis player?

I know how fatigued and tense muscles can get as a tennis player, so I would give the Hyperice Hypervolt Massage Gun. It’s been a lifesaver for me when I’m on the go or don’t have time to get a massage. It’s an easy, portable solution that every tennis player can appreciate.

What about for your gym-loving bestie or workout buddy?

A set of Beats headphones are a great gift for any gym lovers out there. When I go to the gym, I need to lock in and stay focused, so having the noise-canceling headphones with a killer playlist is a must.

What’s an item you own and love that would make a great stocking stuffer?

I’ve recently been loving the LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask. I apply it at night and when I wake up. My lips are super moisturized.

7 Excellent Alternatives to Those Sold Out Bottega Veneta Earrings

Photography courtesy of Imaxtree

The luxury brand’s outsized Drop earrings went viral and quickly sold out — here are a handful of pairs to try instead.

You know that line in Mean Girls “I saw Cady Heron wearing army pants and flip flops, so I bought army pants and flip flops”? Despite my urge to resist the influence of the Kardashian-Jenners and their oh-so-well-oiled marketing machine, I sometimes find myself feeling that way about Kendall Jenner’s outfits. From her penchant for cool prints to her embrace of kooky knitwear, Kendall’s style of late (well, perhaps more accurately, her stylist) is good. One recent accessory pairing that had the internet in an absolute froth came in early fall when the model attended a daytime tennis event wearing mega-sized gold teardrop earrings and a baseball cap. (Cue the above Mean Girls-inspired quote.) The juxtaposition of the ladylike earrings with the sporty hat was unexpected, while the large size of the earring’s elegant silhouette bordered on absurd. It was a real chef’s kiss style moment that naturally led me down a TikTok rabbit hole, feverishly searching “Bottega Veneta Drop earrings dupes.”

Photography by Getty Images

Big, bulbous and curling around the ear like a sleeping snail, Kendall’s mammoth earrings first appeared on the Bottega Veneta fall 2022 ready-to-wear runway in Milan where then-new creative director Mathieu Blazy showed trompe l’oeil denim made entirely of buttery leather, the brand’s signature woven leather intrecciato iterated in high shaft boots, and Muppet-ready faux fur wedge loafers.

Photography courtesy of Imaxtree

Alas, the Bottega Veneta Drop earrings quickly sold out in both gold and silver but the desire to replicate Kendall’s look is going strong. Luckily, there are alternatives out there that achieve the same statement-making look and are in stock now (plus, blessedly, most are far less painful on the wallet than the luxury iteration which can range. from $910 to $1,510, depending on the size). Here, we tracked down seven very good Bottega Veneta Drop earrings dupes of various sizes to wear while you wait for the real thing. Just add a baseball cap.

Players and Attendees Push Back Against Anti-LGBTQ Laws and Sentiment in Qatar

LUSAIL CITY, QATAR - NOVEMBER 28: A pitch invader wearing a shirt reading

The FIFA World Cup is well underway in Qatar, despite outcry for the alleged violations of human rights and its hostility towards the LGBTQ community. In response, players and attendees are making a statement against the anti-LGBTQ laws and sentiment held in the country.

On Monday, during the second half of the soccer match between Portugal and Uruguay, a fan ran onto the field with a rainbow flag and a blue Superman T-shirt that said “SAVE UKRAINE” on the front and “RESPECT FOR IRANIAN WOMAN” on the back until security escorted him off, per NBC.

The performance directly addressed the anti-LGBTQ+ policies of the conservative Islamic emirate that adheres to Sharia law, including the criminalization of homosexuality. The nation’s laws against same-sex activity and overall treatment of the community were criticized leading up to the World Cup being held in the Middle East. While Qatar has said everyone is welcome, including LGBTQ+ fans, they also clarified that visitors “should respect the nation’s culture,” according to AP News. Those who wish to wear rainbow colors are asked to refrain.

But Mario Ferri il Falco, the man identified as the flag-waving pitch invader, wanted to make a statement. In an Instagram post mentioned by CNN (Falco’s account is no longer active, it appears), the protestor explained his motive for running across the field. Translated from Italian, he addressed FIFA banning captain armbands with rainbow and human rights flags in the stands. “They blocked everyone BUT NOT ME, like a Robinhood 2.0 I carried the message of the PEOPLE 🏳️‍🌈 We want a free world that respects all races and all ideas,” he writes.

Falco isn’t the only World Cup attendee to push back against the rules.

“This is not about a political message: human rights are non-negotiable.”

Last week, two German soccer fans, along with an American journalist Grant Wahl and former Wales captain Laura McAllister, were told by security told to remove their rainbow-colored items while trying to enter World Cup matches, CNN reports.

Plus, in the first week of the tournament, FIFA stopped seven European teams from playing with rainbow armbands, a symbol of support for LGBTQ rights, saying they would receive yellow cards if they did, per AP. Germany players made a statement by covering their mouths in a team photo after being threatened with sanctions if they wore their One Love armbands, per Indian Express. The German national soccer team tweeted, “Be loud together with other nations. This is not about a political message: human rights are non-negotiable.”

And in case the gesture wasn’t self-explanatory, the team went on to say, “Banning us from the bandage is like banning our mouths. Our stance stands.”

Meghan Markle Says She Stopped Watching ‘Real Housewives’ When Her ‘Life Had Its Own Level of Drama’

Meghan Markle has made a point throughout her Archetypes podcast series to keep the spotlight on her subjects. But she did divulge a little, on the first season’s finale episode, about how Prince Harry affected the series and why she can’t watch the Real Housewives franchise anymore.

Harry is the reason her last episode was all male guests. “Now, if you’ve been listening to the past 11 episodes, you may have noticed that you haven’t heard many men’s voices… In fact, until now, outside a pop-in from my husband in the first episode, this show has featured exclusively women’s voices,” she started. “And that’s by design. It was important to us that women have a space to share their authentic and complicated, complex, and dynamic experiences. To be heard. And to be understood. But through that process it also occurred to me, and truth be told, at the suggestion of my husband – that if we really want to shift how we think about gender and the limiting labels that we separate people into, then we have to broaden the conversation… and we have to actively include men in that conversation, and certainly in that effort. So today, we are doing just that.”

The Duchess of Sussex started the conversation with her guest, Andy Cohen, the man behind the Real Housewives franchise. To Cohen, she revealed she had been a fan of the reality show franchise, but her appetite for it changed as her own life became British tabloid fodder amid her entry to the British royal family.

Meghan revealed to Cohen that she met him twice before, but he hadn’t remembered meeting her. The first had been before Suits aired, and the second was during its second or third season. I was so eager to be on your show [Watch What Happens Live] because I was such a Housewives fan at the time and I just couldn’t get booked, Andy! So thanks for being here with me.”

Cohen admitted he and his team suspected Meghan had expressed interest on being on the show before. “We were like, I think she may be a Housewives fan, but even worse, Andy, we think we didn’t have her on the show. And I was like, oh my god. If it turns out that Meghan Markle actually expressed an interest to be on ‘Watch What Happens Live’ and we—it is now the biggest blunder in the 13 years of the show. So it’s a great story.”

Cohen went on to ask Meghan if she still watched the series. That’s when she gently touched on the impact being in the royal spotlight has had on her the past couple years.

“Well, I will tell you the truth. I stopped watching The Housewives when my life had its own level of drama that I stopped craving–”

“Other people’s,” Cohen finished.

“Yeah, there was so—I get why it was such a huge, huge part of pop culture. And when it began, because you began with Orange County and I’m from California, at least it felt remotely like a world that I knew but still felt so foreign. But I mean, I would say almost every one of my friends still watches it and I go, why are you watching that? There’s so much drama. And it’s because it bring—it’s entertainment. It’s entertaining to them.”

Meghan admitted having a more nuanced take on it now. “This is a tough one for me. This is a tough one,” she said of discussing the show. “Because, as you heard, Andy describes this as a feminist show… and I want to hear him out on that, because this drama, it tends to feed off the kinds of women they, they often feature on the show, or at least one facet of their personalities. And yes, some might call them stereotypes. And I think for this reason, people have really—like I’m explaining–mixed feelings about the show.”

You can listen to their whole conversation here on Spotify and how Meghan gracefully confronted him on the show’s portrayal of women.

“Season after season, we receive requests from customers and stylists alike for handbags to wear with occasion shoes,” says head of design Edmundo Castillo. “With that in mind, I wanted to design handbags that complement our shoes—inspired by the same fashion and comfort codes we are known for.” The designer also notes that since Stuart Weitzman is primarily known for its dress shoes, expanding into evening bags was a natural progression. “Each Stuart Weitzman handbag is designed to be truly special, yet easy to wear with the rest of your wardrobe. My goal is for the bags to be as iconic as our shoes.”

The aforementioned three handbags include the Moda Shine Mini Tote, the Loveletter Clutch, and the VIP Clutch. Each one, while minimalist in design, features peak craftsmanship and glamorous details that make them really, truly pop (seriously, you can’t miss these). In other words, they’re for the women who want to stand out, like, say, brand ambassador Kim Kardashian. “Kim is the ultimate icon. She’s strong, confident, and unapologetically herself. I want women to feel empowered to embody these qualities in their own ways when carrying our handbags,” Castille shares. “I think of the Moda Shine as the ‘It bag’ for women who do it all.” Speaking of, the Kardashian has a Moda Shine in her arsenal, so you already know it’s celebrity-approved.

We’re Exhausted After Watching Tracee Ellis Ross’s Intense Glute and Back Workout

Tracee Ellis Ross stepped into the gym for an intense back and butt workout that proves she works a weight room just like she works a red carpet: flawlessly.

“Up and at ’em,” Ross captioned an Instagram video from Nov. 28 showing her tackling an intimidating-looking strength workout with the help of trainer Jason Walsh. The “Black-ish” star went hard in the gym, doing tons of moves targeting the muscles in her back, legs, and glutes. “Love Tracee and her discipline,” Walsh captioned a reshare of her post on Instagram Stories.

Ross began the workout with resistance-band rows while holding a squat, priming both her back and lower body for what was coming. Next, she put her glutes and hamstrings to the test on the Westside Barbell Scout Hyper, a machine used to strengthen your posterior chain (aka the muscles all along the back of your body). After a few reps of weighted reverse hypers on her right leg, Ross switched to her left, holding onto the hand grips at the front of the machine for balance.

Ross then headed to a cable machine for some single-arm rows, working the same muscles she warmed up earlier with the resistance bands. She followed those with a set of 20-pound deadlifts using an open hex bar — a compound move that works your glutes, hamstrings, and back all at once. Finally, Ross wrapped up the intense workout with a series of 45-pound weighted hip thrusts using a machine called the Booty Builder — because that’s exactly what it does. “Oh boy!” Ross said as she powered through the last few reps. When Walsh told her the set was over, she breathed out a huge sigh of relief and finally let her legs rest.

This isn’t the first time Ross has posted about one of her workouts with Walsh, who owns the fitness studio Rise Nation and works with other celeb clientele including Emma Stone and Brie Larson; check out the equally tough leg-day workout Ross did with him in October. And if you’re looking for a workout to strengthen your back and glutes, give Ross’s impressive workout a try — just be prepared to be sore.

Ariana Grande Posts First Photo of Her and Dalton Gomez Posing Together in 5 Months

Ariana Grande has been diligently and quietly working on the film adaptation of Wicked for months, but the singer popped back on Instagram today to give fans a very rare look at her marriage. Grande shared a captionless post featuring multiple photos of her husband Dalton Gomez, including one of them together. In the new photo, Grande appears with her blonde hair for her role as Glinda.

The selfie marks the first photo on her page where the two appear alongside each other in five months. Grande’s last couple shot of them was from June 1, and before that, their last one was from February 16.

Gomez appears regularly in Grande’s Instagram photo dumps, although typically buried in the photo galleries. The real estate agent keeps his own Instagram private, although his profile photo is one of him and Grande posing together.

Grande spoke back in April 2020 about why she decided to keep their romance private. She had been responding to actress Florence Pugh’s Instagram asking fans to stop harassing her then-boyfriend Zach Braff over the pair’s age gap.

“Sharing special, personal life things that make u happy on the internet can be truly traumatic,” Grande shared. “I know I’ve taken a step back from doing so to protect my loved ones and myself.”

She went on to highlight two lines from Pugh’s Instagram that resonated with her: “‘Being hateful is not trendy.’ ‘I do not need you to tell me who I should and should not love and I would never in my life tell anyone who they can or can not love. It is not your place and has nothing to do with you.’ I screamed,” Grande admitted.

I Finally Found a Plant-Based Protein I Like (and It’s Gelato Flavored)

As a fitness influencer with a community of over one million Instagram followers, Anna Victoria gets asked all the time for her recommendations: what exercises to do to get strong abs or glutes; what to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. One thing the NASM-certified personal trainer never felt comfortable recommending though was a protein powder, despite frequently emphasizing the importance of protein for muscle growth and maintenance. “There were brands that I was using and that I liked, but I take my recommendations so seriously,” Anna Victoria tells POPSUGAR. “I just did not feel like there was a brand that I could 100 percent get behind, mainly because there’s such a lack of transparency in the supplement industry.”

For years, Anna Victoria says, she used a particular brand of protein powder that tasted “literally like ice cream.” It was so good, in fact, that she started to get suspicious. “When it comes to health food products, if it tastes that good, there has to be a catch,” she says. So Anna Victoria sent it to a lab, wanting to see if the product’s nutrition content actually matched what was on the label. “We figured there was just maybe way more sweetener, sugar, or something added,” she says. But the results were worse. The protein powder, which advertised 20 grams of protein per scoop, only included three grams per scoop, according to the lab results, “which means that the rest was either filler or just sugar,” Anna Victoria says. “It was such a shock and really solidified, unfortunately, my distrust for the supplement industry.”

So she decided to make her own product, taking two years to concoct the right formula. And in September 2022, the influencer launched Vitalura Labs protein powder. As a longtime follower of Anna Victoria, I was intrigued by the brand and the personal story behind it, as well as the protein content (25 grams per scoop!) and flavors: chocolate and vanilla gelato, a tribute to the Italian roots of Anna Victoria’s husband and business partner, Luca Ferretti. Vitalura Labs sent me both flavors to try out, so I set my usual protein powders to the side for two weeks and added Vitalura to my smoothies, shakes, and oatmeal. Here’s what I thought.

What I Like About Vitalura Labs Protein Powder

First impression of the Vitalura Labs chocolate gelato flavor: “wow, that smells amazing.” It’s not my usual reaction when I open a bag of protein powder, and especially not a bag of plant-based protein. I’ve had some unfortunate experiences with pea protein powders that taste like, well, peas, which is not a great flavor in a breakfast smoothie.

When I blended the Vitalura powders into protein smoothies with other ingredients (milk, bananas, cinnamon, peanut butter, etc.), I didn’t get any kind of veggie-like taste, just a sweet flavor and smooth texture. The vanilla gelato really shined in a batch of protein oatmeal that I whipped up for lunch one day. I also tossed it into one of Anna Victoria’s Instagram recipes to make a pumpkin spice smoothie, which was excellent.

Across the board, though, the chocolate gelato powder was my favorite, with a rich taste that rivaled my favorite whey protein powder when combined in smoothies. (For context, whey protein is sourced from milk products, which gives it a naturally neutral taste that’s easy to sweeten. Plant-based protein is isolated from different plants, such as peas and brown rice, and it can be harder to eradicate the natural taste of those ingredients. More on the blend of proteins used by Vitalura Labs ahead.)

What’s more, Vitalura Labs protein powder is tasty while offering 25 grams of protein per scoop — and you can trust that number because the product is certified by the National Science Foundation (NSF). The NSF is considered the gold standard for verifying that a product is safe for use and contains the nutrients and ingredients advertised. (In other words, an NSF-certified protein powder won’t get away with inflating the protein content.)

Looking more closely at the nutrition facts, the Vitalura Labs protein powders also contain minimal ingredients and no sugar or artificial sweeteners, aspects Anna Victoria attributed to her Italian connection. “I learned so much about how to live a healthy, balanced lifestyle through [Italian] food culture,” she explains. “It’s minimal ingredients and very pure and fresh and clean, so we wanted to take from that to create this protein, so it doesn’t have a long list of ingredients, and the ones that it does have are all natural.”

Another benefit of Anna Victoria’s protein powders? They are complete proteins. The powders come from three sources: pea protein isolate, brown rice protein isolate, and pumpkin seed protein isolate. The three of them together, Anna Victoria explains, constitutes a “complete protein,” which means the combination provides all nine of the amino acids your body needs to source from food.

What’s Worth Noting About Vitalura Labs Protein Powder

The taste of Vitalura Labs protein powder is very good, but not perfect. A slight “protein-y” aftertaste sometimes came through, especially when I tried the chocolate gelato flavor blended with just milk and ice, rather than in a smoothie or oatmeal with other ingredients. The vanilla taste is also very strong, to the point of tasting a bit artificial — a trade I’d make to avoid the typical veggie-tasting protein powder, but something to be aware of if you like more subtle sweets. You may also need to add extra liquid when blending the powders into your recipes as they ended up being quite thick when I added them to smoothies and oatmeal.

Who Is Vitalura Labs Protein Powder Best For?

If you take your protein and macro goals seriously, you’ll feel good about adding Vitalura Labs protein powders to your shakes and recipes. I love that it contains all-natural, sugar-free ingredients and, crucially, those 25 NSF-certified grams of protein. The taste and texture are pretty solid. And plant-based folks, especially, will love the sweet flavor and high protein content that comes without animal products.

More casual protein-lovers — let’s say, those of us who add a scoop to our smoothies every once in a while but don’t make it a priority — might prefer to stick with the brands and flavors they’re familiar with. I would still recommend Vitalura Labs, simply for its safety and trustworthiness. Beyoncé Paired a Sweatshirt, Mini Skirt, and Stilettos for a Rare Public Date Night With Jay-Z

It isn’t very often Beyoncé puts her date night style on display for the paparazzi, but photographers got a treat this week when Bey and Jay-Z stepped out, holding hands, for dinner at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica on Sunday evening. Both were dressed down, with Bey pairing a navy sweatshirt with a mini skirt and black stilettos. Her hair was worn down in pretty waves.

Bey has let her work, namely her critically-acclaimed album Renaissance, the first of her upcoming three-act music project, speak for her this year. But she did touch on her plans for her 40s during that milestone birthday last year in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, along with Jay-Z’s place in her next decade.

“My wish is for my 40s to be fun and full of freedom,” she said. “I want to feel the same freedom I feel on stage every day of my life. I want to explore aspects of myself I haven’t had time to discover and to enjoy my husband and my children. I want to travel without working. I want this next decade to be about celebration, joy, and giving and receiving love. I want to give all the love I have to the people who love me back.”

“I’ve done so much in 40 years that I just want to enjoy my life,” she continued. “It’s hard going against the grain, but being a small part of some of the overdue shifts happening in the world feels very rewarding. I want to continue to work to dismantle systemic imbalances. I want to continue to turn these industries upside down. I plan to create businesses outside of music. I have learned that I have to keep on dreaming. One of my favorite quotes is from the inventor Charles Kettering. It goes, ‘Our imagination is the only limit to what we can hope to have in the future.’”

Emma Chamberlain’s Holiday Gift Guide

emma chamberlain holiday gift guide 2022

Getty + Design Leah Romero

Everyone wants to be Emma Chamberlain, or at the very least be her friend. How could you not? She’s effortlessly cool, wildly stylish, and refreshingly low-key. “Low-key” for someone with 16.2 million followers on Instagram, that is.

The internet-influencing, coffee-sipping, art-collecting, sweater vest-wearing 21-year-old is, ostensibly, good at everything, which means her impeccable taste must pertain to all things holiday, too.

I can’t grant you her penchant for posing or her comedic prowess, but I can give you a look behind the scenes at what Emma Chamberlain gifts IRL. ELLE caught up with the social media mogul ahead of the gifting season to bring you the scoop on how to tackle the holidays à la Emma. Scroll through below.

What’s your go-to holiday gift?

Weirdly enough, I always go for a nice robe or a blanket. I feel like everyone appreciates comfort, and many people don’t prioritize their comfort enough. A cozy blanket or robe is something that will make someones day a little more comforting everyday, and that’s a magical gift if you ask me.

Do you have a favorite under-$50 gift?

I adore candles, but I rarely buy them for myself. You can get a super chic candle for under $50 that will work as home décor and a room freshener.

What’s the best gift you’ve ever received?

Anything personal that shows someone pays attention to all of the millions things I ramble about on a daily basis. One time, someone found a Napoleon Dynamite sweatshirt at a thrift store and they got it for me as a gift. I almost cried. Napoleon Dynamite has been my favorite movie since I was a child, and I was so excited. I cherish that sweatshirt to this day. I refuse to wear it because it is so precious to me.

Best gift that can be found on Amazon?

I love painting my nails, but I don’t love using regular nail polish. I bought myself this gel nail kit a few years ago, and it has changed my life. Whenever I need a last-minute manicure, or just want to spend an hour doing my nails and listening to music, this kit is my best friend. I would recommend it to anyone.

What’s the number one thing on your wish list this year?

Honestly, nothing. My days of wish lists are over. I prefer to give gifts now.

Ideal gift in a last-minute scenario?

A book that I own, that I love, but that I’ve already read. I usually don’t read books more than once, and in most cases, the books are better off in someone else’s hands.

What’s a gift you always have on-hand, just in case?

Coffee. I have so much Chamberlain Coffee at my house, there is no possible way I could drink it all. It works out well though, because coffee is the best gift anyway. It’s a gift that I can guarantee will be used.

Considering all possibilities, what would your dream gift be?

A Cartier watch. I recently came to appreciate watches, and the few that I have, I cherish deeply. They are beautifully made pieces that can be passed through generations, and the artistry that goes into making them is unmatched. Cartier makes the most timeless, beautiful watches, and I would probably cry if someone gave me one as a gift.

What item would you gift a fellow fashion lover?

A cool pair of sunglasses is an incredible gift for a fashion lover. Every fashion lover collects accessories. A pair of sunglasses that is a little funkier than what the person would usually choose is the perfect choice because there is a good chance they wouldn’t splurge on them themselves (even if they wanted to). I love these [Gucci sunglasses] because they are unique enough to be eye-catching (no pun intended), but versatile enough to be worn with hundreds of different outfits.

You’re shopping for someone and have no clue what to get. Maybe your Secret Santa is someone you barely know (yikes). What’s the gift you decide is the most likely to please anybody?

When in doubt, go with the funny gift. My mom got me a Squatty Potty a few years ago as a gift, and I LOVE IT! It basically…makes it easier to poop. Do the research yourself. Anyway, this gift is funny, but also incredible. You can’t go wrong with something kind of funny, but also kind of useful.

Go-to stocking stuffers?

Lancôme’s Advanced Genifique Hydrogel Melting Sheet Mask and L’Absolu Mademoiselle Lip Balm.

What’s the best gift to give yourself?

The perfect pair of Levi’s jeans.

19. Short Knotted Dreadlocks

Dreadlocks can be formed into small, short knots, known as Bantu knots. This hairstyle was originated by the Zulu people in South Africa. These knots signify pride, power, and beauty. 21. Long Braided Dreadlocks

22. Freeform Dreadlocks

23. Labyrinth Dreadlocks

Labyrinth dreadlocks are similar to traditional ones. They are different in that the dreads are formed a little bit further apart on the scalp. These long, chunky dreadlocks are a great look for those who have been growing out their dreadlocks for a long time.

24. Side Swept Dreadlocks

25. Comb Back Dreadlocks

Getting the hair out of your face in many situations is priority number one. If your dreadlocks are long enough to pull back you’re good to go, if not try a hairband.

Exactly How to Do Jump Squats — Plus, Variations For Every Level

Photographer: Matthew Kelly● Image w/ model: 2 Year Standard Contract. ● Expires: 2/28/2022Restrictions: Editorial and internal use only. No print or advertising.Model: Cierra Creer

Picking up heavy weights can be empowering and rewarding, but you don’t need equipment to start a fire in your leg muscles. In fact, some of the most effective exercises can be done using your own body weight. A prime example? Jump squats.

Jump squats (or squat jumps, whichever you prefer) are simple: you do a squat and add a jump at the top. Regular bodyweight squats may be easy for you, but adding a plyometric component and asking your body to work against gravity by jumping off the floor increases the challenge on your muscles.

Whatever your exercise level, there are ways to scale jump squats up or down them easier or harder. Learn why jump squats are great for your body and how to do them ahead.

The Benefits of Jump Squats

Jump squats come with all the benefits of regular squats, plus even more. “Jump squats improve explosiveness, speed-power related abilities, and promote balance and agility,” Cristina Chan, F45 Training trainer, says. “Jump squats training is highly effective in most sports that include sprinting or vertical reaches.” So if you play intramural soccer or recreational pickleball, for example, jump squats can help you prep your body for those movements.

Unlike the classic squat, a jump squat is also an effective form of cardio, Shan adds, since it gets your heart pumping. Because they can get you out of breath in such a short period of time, this makes jump squats a great addition to a HIIT workout.

Wondering which muscles, exactly, jump squats target? Jump squats work your quadriceps, hamstrings, glutes, and calves. Adding a resistance band around your legs will shift the focus to your glute medius, the muscle on the outside of your glutes.

How to Do Jump Squats

Because jump squats are an intense movement, you’ll want to prep accordingly. “It’s better to train either on grass or turf, or by using [some sort of] padding, such as a rubber mat, in order to reduce the stress on your knees,” Chan says. “You should also carve out about 10 minutes for a warmup before kicking off your workout to prepare your body for the stress it’s about to undergo.”

And since this is an advanced move, don’t be afraid to scale back to find a version that’s suitable for you. Chan says modifications are encouraged so you can build the proper technique for a jump squat. Once your form is solid, you can level up.

Here’s how to do a jump squat with proper form.

  • Start standing with your feet slightly wider than shoulder-width apart, hands by your sides.
  • Lower into a squat, sitting your hips back and bending your knees, aiming to lower until your thighs are parallel to the floor. Keep your chest tall and core engaged. You can clasp your hands in front of your chest if it feels comfortable.
  • From the lowest point in your squat, squeeze your glutes, push into the balls of your feet, and forcefully extend your legs to jump off the floor. If it feels comfortable, extend your arms by your sides while you’re jumping.
  • Land softly with knees bent, immediately lowering into the squat position to begin the next rep.

Squat-Jump Variation: Low-Impact Squat Jumps

Jump squats are high impact, meaning they put a lot of force on your joints. If you’re looking for a low-impact variation of squat jumps, try this one. It works your lower body through the same movement pattern and muscles but is easier on your joints.

  • From the lowest point in your squat, squeeze your glutes, push into the balls of your feet, and forcefully extend your legs to stand up and raise onto your toes, heels hovering off the floor. If it feels comfortable, extend your arms by your sides while you’re standing tall.
  • Hold for a second, then lower into the squat position to begin the next rep.

Squat-Jump Variation: Resistance-Band Squat Jumps

To make it more challenging and recruit your glute medius, you can add a mini loop resistance band around your thighs.

  • Start standing with your feet slightly wider than shoulder-width apart, hands by your sides, and a resistance band looped around your thighs just above your knees.
  • Lower into a squat, sitting your hips back and bending your knees, aiming to lower until your thighs are parallel to the floor. Keep your chest tall and core engaged. Push your knees out against the resistance band to avoid letting them cave in.

Squat-Jump Variation: Weighted Squat Jumps

Squat jumps absolutely have the ability to challenge your lower-body muscles without any equipment, but you can add weights to make it even harder if you’d like. Try strapping on a weighted vest or holding onto some light- to medium-weight dumbbells. (Start light, and you can always level up.)

  • Start standing with your feet slightly wider than shoulder-width apart, holding a dumbbell in each hand racked over your shoulders.
  • Lower into a squat, sitting your hips back and bending your knees, aiming to lower until your thighs are parallel to the floor. Keep your chest tall and core engaged.

When Do New Episodes of The White Lotus Season 2 Come Out?

Somehow it seems The White Lotus resort collection has maintained its sterling reputation—despite the recent murder at its Maui outpost—and The White Lotus season 2 is officially back on HBO, this time a few thousand miles away on the shores of Sicily. With a new destination, a new cast, and, oop, a new smattering of dead bodies, there’s a lot to explore in this new chapter of showrunner Mike White’s hit series.

But given the state of streaming today—in which some major streamers opt for the binge model, while others roll out episodes weekly, and still others deploy a wonky hybrid of the two—figuring out when to actually watch this show is perhaps trickier than it should be. Fret not: Consider us your Fodors guide to watching The White Lotus season 2.

How can I watch The White Lotus season 2?

If you have a cable HBO subscription, you can tune in on Sunday evenings to watch live. Otherwise, season 2 is streaming only on HBO Max. To watch, you’ll need to purchase either an ad-supported or ad-free subscription, beginning at $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year.

When do new episodes of The White Lotus season 2 come out?

HBO is typically a fan of the weekly rollout model, and The White Lotus is no outlier. Episodes drop weekly on Sunday nights at 9 p.m. EST. This season’s chapters are as follows:

  • Episode 1, “Ciao,” streaming as of Oct. 30
  • Episode 2, “Italian Dream,” streaming as of Nov. 6
  • Episode 3, “Bull Elephants,” streaming as of Nov. 13
  • Episode 4, “In the Sandbox,” streaming as of Nov. 20

15 Best Winter Socks For Men To Keep Your Feet Warm and Dry 2022

Few things are capable of rivaling the borderline absurd amount of comfort achieved by lounging next to a fireplace when it’s cold outside. Coltrane keeping the turntable warm? Nice accompaniment. Finger of bourbon with a s’mores chaser? Definite contender.

But all the creature comforts in the world are for naught if your feet aren’t armed with the best winter socks for men. Yes, I just referenced foot-arms. Picture it. Hilarious. Moving on.

To put it plainly, those are not the types of moments you want to squander by covering your extremities with subpar materials. And with that humble mission in mind, it’s time to get said extremities cozy with our picks for the best winter socks on the market today.

Key Takeaways

The best winter socks for men are the ones that work best for you. That said, there’s a lot of gray area in there—it all comes down to what you’ll be getting into and how you define performance in a sock. Our top pick is all about function, which is key when you’re dealing with below-freezing temperatures. But good news: form is also well represented. Fair Isle and s’mores, anyone?

Our Top Picks

Chupsocks Fair Winter Socks
chupsocks / instragram

smartwool Cushion Crew Winter Socks

Size range: S-XL  | Material: 56% Merino Wool, 11% Nylon, 31% Recycled nylon, 2% Elastane  | Colors: 5

This being a list of the best winter socks for men, you can bet I’ve included options that run the gamut in terms of what you might find yourself getting into when the temps start to drop. Yes, we’ve got your snowboarding, running, hiking, and fire pit-ing needs covered. But chances are, you’re actually here looking for an absolute workhorse. The type of socks that’ll trek up a blustery winter mountain with you, give you a high-five at the peak, and ask for more.

If that describes your humbly aspirational footwear needs, this merino wool specimen from Smartwool is what you’re looking for. Little form and mostly function, the pair features a dense, cushiony layer to absorb impact and keep your feet from screaming at you and your active winter lifestyle. Moisture-wicking: check. Retention of warmth even in extreme conditions: yes. There’s a time and place for precious socks, and this isn’t it.

ThundersLove Winter Socks

Size range: One Size  | Material: 55% Wool, 20% Silk, 23% Polyamide, 2% Elastane | Colors: 3

Not all wool socks are created equal. Some are itchy and cumbersome. Some are subpar and stiffen with age. Others are these rib knit socks from Thunders Love by way of Closed.

Made with pride by experienced craftspeople in small Portuguese workshops, what makes this pair some of the best winter socks for men is the large percentage of silk incorporated into their majority-wool construction. This carefully curated mix makes them incredibly soft and comfortable without losing any of the warming effects you’d expect from wool. Add this pair to your stable of city socks to be deployed on those brisk winter nights when walking from haunt to haunt isn’t out of the question.

Myrqvist Ludvig Merino Socks

Size range: 8-12  | Material: 85% Merino Wool, 15% Polyamide  | Colors: 1

When it comes to socks (and almost any garment, really) perhaps no single fabric is as useful and versatile as merino wool. It wicks away moisture and sweat during the warmer months and locks in heat during the colder months. Beyond that, it’s simply one of the most comfortable materials you can toss over your feet when the temperature starts to drop.

Myrqvist makes it onto our list of the best winter socks for men by providing a subtly stylish pair of calf-high socks in a versatile forest green. Expect the same technical performance as you would from any merino wool garment, only with the added bonus of teaming up seamlessly with a suit or other semi-formal outfit scenario.

Percival Melange Socks

Size range: One Size; 6-9.5  | Material: 80% Cotton, 18% Polyamide, 2% Elastane  | Colors: 1

Percival’s made-in-Portugal warm socks for men come in a handful of handsome colors and are made to be seen rather than covered up with jeans or boots. Their subtle yet striking design makes them ripe for late-fall and early-winter afternoons spent catching up with friends around a brewery- or distillery-adjacent fire pit.

Their mix of high-quality cotton, polyamide, and elastane helps keep things breathable and dry beneath the shoes. So while I wouldn’t recommend these melange cotton beauties for your more extreme outdoor pursuits, they certainly wouldn’t be out of place on a brisk hike or, say, on the mean snowy streets of Aspen.

Unrecorded Yellow Socks

Size range: 6-12  | Material: 85% Organic Cotton, 13% Polyamide, 2% Elastane  | Colors: 6

Bells? No. Whistles? Also no. Anything even close to resembling technical performance? Not a chance. So how did these made-in-Portugal organic cotton socks make our list of the best winter socks for men? Comfort, dammit. Just… comfort.

Their mostly cotton construction won’t help you out in the elements for long, but it’s going to keep your climate-controlled feet feeling like they’re being bear-hugged by a cloud. This is the popcorn-and-a-movie sock that also happens to look great under a wool suit or a smart pair of jeans.

LL bean Merino Wool Ragg Winter Socks

Size range: S-XL  | Material: 77% Merino Wool, 21% Stretch Nylon, 2% Lycra Elastane  | Colors: 6

If there’s one thing you take away from our opus on the best winter socks for men, it’s that they’re all about function. Unlike dress socks or other more precious members of the species, winter socks are all about doing a job. The job of keeping your feet warm and comfortable at all costs.

Yes, even if you happen to be doing nothing but riding the couch with a stem of red in one hand and a charcuterie board in the other (we see you and your aspirational snacking tendencies).

So here comes L.L. Bean with function in spades—heavyweight merino wool blend, super soft construction, almost inappropriately soft. These guys have it all, plus they’re one of the thickest pairs I’ve seen.

Carhartt Heavyweight Wool Socks

Size range: L-XL  | Material: 69% Wool, 28% Nylon, 2% Acrylic, 1% Elastane  | Colors: 3

It should come as no surprise that Carhartt has earned its way into one of our best winter socks for men slots. Not only has the workwear brand been around since 1889, but its semi-recent surge in popularity has been impossible to miss.

For your foot’s consideration, the Heavyweight Wool Blend Boot Sock uses an abrasion-resistant blend of materials and features cushiony ribbed sections throughout. As always, Carhartt does an excellent job of making sure the moisture gets out and the heat stays in. Add in the generous boot-cut length of these socks, and you’ve got yourself the perfect accompaniment to a long day outside, be it for work, pleasure, or a bit of both.

Darn Tough Hiker Merino Socks

Size range: S-XXL  | Material: 66% Merino Wool, 32% Nylon, 2% Lycra Spandex  | Colors: 7

Vermont brand Darn Tough has a deserved reputation as being one of the best hardy-sock manufacturers in the game. Their products are favored by die-hard thru-hikers and fire pit jockeys alike.

This sock is, naturally, made mostly of merino wool. Sweat-wicking: check. Anti-odor: check. But Darn Tough’s uncompromising dedication to quality and seamless-feel construction will also keep your feet warm no matter what snowy escapades you find yourself in. Snowy escapades? Snowy escapades.

Worn T3 Ankle Socks

Size range: XS-XL  | Material: 49% Merino Wool, 47% nylon, 4% elastane  | Colors: 5

Worn’s tried and true T3 Sparrow ankle sock gives you all the benefits of a full-length winter sock, but in a no-show. Among its features are 360-degree arch support, sweat-wicking properties thanks to merino wool, and five colorful patterns for when the shoes come off.

These are marketed as running socks, and they’ll absolutely perform there. But what makes this one of the best no-show socks out there is its versatility. It’s not too heavy, not too light, and can be worn 365 days a year.

Bombas Cotopaxi Merino Wool Socks

Size range: S-XL  | Material: 63% Merino Wool, 35% nylon, 2% Spandex  | Colors: Surprise

These socks feature all the bells and whistles you’ve come to expect from a Bombas product—honeycomb arch support system, seamless toe, airflow venting properties. It goes on. But what makes their hiking calf sock collaboration with Cotopaxi interesting is the process they use to pull these beauties together.

Taking a page out of Cotopaxi’s book, Bombas uses perfectly good, leftover merino wool from its past collections and pulls them together with nylon and spandex. As an interesting kicker, the process creates one-of-a-kind color combinations, meaning no two pairs that you order are likely to be the same. So not only are you getting a complete ass-kicker of a sock, you’re also getting a surprise color.

Chup Fair Socks

Size range: M-L  | Material: Wool Blend  | Colors: 1

There are a lot of unacceptable things in this world. But talking about the best winter socks for men without talking about Fair Isle socks? Unforgivable. So here we are. Fair Isle socks.

We owe so much aspirational winter living to the knitting style that originated on that little island just north of Scotland. The sweaters that compliment a hot toddy oh so well. The pullover that begs for a steaming cup of pumpkin-adjacent coffee. The merino wool Fair Isle socks from Japanese brand Chup that damn well better be peeking out from your jeans around the fire pit.

Showerspass Crosspoint Winter Socks

Size range: S-XXL  | Material: Inner: 81% Coolmax, 16% Polyester, 1% Nylon, 2% Spandex; Outer: 78% Nylon, 15% Polyester, 7% Spandex | Colors: 2

As an all-weather runner myself, I appreciate the value of a warm, sturdy, waterproof (yes, waterproof) pair of socks. While I do my best to avoid puddles and slush, shit happens. Enter: the 100% shitproof three layers that make up the Crosspoint crews from Showers Pass.

Layer one is a standard knit construction that doesn’t lack in the cozy department. Layer two employs a waterproof yet breathable membrane (the crucial layer for running comfort). Layer three is also focused on breathability but also on wicking away sweat and fighting odors. It all comes together in a fully waterproof pair of running socks that will keep your feet warm and dry no matter what self-inflicted punishment you deem necessary to put yourself through.

filson Logger Thermal Winter Socks

Size range: M-XL  | Material: 50% Merino Wool, 30% Wool, 10% Nylon, 9% Acrylic, 1% Spandex | Colors: 2

For the epitome of warmth under extreme conditions, look no further than this super thick and durable pair of thermal socks from legendary outdoor-focused gear brand Filson. Made of 80% wool (50% of which is merino), these warm socks for men were made with fighting the elements in mind—all without so much as hinting at adversity to your feet.

If you’re into outdoor sports, work long days outside in cold conditions, or generally just fancy yourself a comfort connoisseur, the buck stops with these.

Danner Heavyweight Socks

Size range: S-XL  | Material: 79% Merino Wool, 20% Nylon, 1% Lycra  | Colors: 1

Hunter? Cool, you’ll love these. Not a hunter? Still cool. You’ll still love these. As long as you’ll be escorting your body outside during any or all of the fall and winter months, Danner’s heavyweight hunting socks will serve you well.

Almost all of the best winter socks for men are going to have some incorporation of merino wool and offer some incorporation of moisture-wicking, heat-retaining properties. These are no exception. But to sweeten the pot, Danner products are known for being able to carry on after taking a beating. And the knee-high length will help keep at least 50% of your legs sheltered from the elements while you’re snowboarding, lodge-bar hopping, or, sure, even hunting.

Drymax Over The Calf Socks

Size range: S-XL  | Material: 73% Olefin, 10% Polyester, 9% Elastane, 8% Nylon  | Colors: 1

Running when it’s cold out is challenging enough without also having to contend with cold, wet feet and toes. Drymax is a technical pair of socks for technical times. Through science, science, and more science, Drymax’s materials work every bit as hard—if not harder—than merino wool.

The result is a long, comfortable, warm pair of socks designed to get you and your feet to the finish line in one dry piece. Bonus: the price point is very reasonable for the comfort and technical details you’re getting here.

What To Look For In The Best Winter Socks For Men

Material

Winter socks are a specific breed of basic and should be treated as such when comparing materials. Generally speaking, you’re going to want something that locks heat in and pushes moisture out. Though most of the best winter socks for men consist of a well-thought-out blend of materials, the highest percentage should belong to merino wool if you’re looking for moisture control.

Thickness

When we think about the best winter socks for keeping cozy, our knee-jerk reaction is likely something along the lines of “thick, thick, thick.” But even the thinnest socks can be completely warm and waterproof (like Showers Pass’s Crosspoint waterproof crew socks). Before judging a book by its cover, research the individual sock and what it’s made of—thick and warm is nice, but you may be able to achieve the same effect with a thinner sock.

Activity Or Occasion

While they’re going to look great, a handsome pair of Fair Isle socks made mostly of cotton will almost certainly destroy your feet on a ski trip. Conversely, a super-thin pair of thermal running socks isn’t going to be the best choice—aesthetic or otherwise—for cozying up next to the fireplace with a movie. Matching your socks with your outfit and occasion is an art. Consider the materials, function, and overall look of the sock before deciding which pair to go with.

Final Verdict

Of all the warm socks for men we reviewed, Smartwool’s Hike Classic came out on top for its laundry list of technical features designed to keep your feet warm and dry during outdoor adventures in the winter months. Keep in mind, though, that not all winter socks need to perform. Sometimes all you need is pure comfort.

FAQ

    • As far as warmth is concerned, the undisputed heavyweight champ in the “best winter socks for men” weight class is Smartwool’s Hike Classic. If you’re looking for a pair of socks that’ll keep your feet in tip-top (tip-bottom?) shape without relying on bells or whistles, this is it. And any of my waterproof picks, especially the Crosspoint by Showers Pass, are also going to keep your feet toasty.

      • Merino wool. It’s a throughline in our list of the best winter socks for men for good reason—no other material can rival its ability to regulate temperatures by simultaneously keeping your feet warm and dry.
