After playing Priscilla Presley on the big screen, Olivia DeJonge is a new woman. When she began working on Elvispre-pandemic, the Australian actor was just 20 years old — or as she says, a “newborn.” Three years later, with filming wrapped and the real Priscilla Presley’s stamp of approval secured, DeJonge has unlocked a different side of herself. “There’s a before Elvis [me] and there’s an after Elvis [me],” she explains. “It’s a pivotal moment in my life.”
Elvis, directed by Baz Luhrmann and starring Austin Butler as the titular idol, is a disorienting and bedazzled ride through time. The biopic, out June 24, details the decades-long exploitation of the singer by his manager, Colonel Tom Parker (Tom Hanks).

Guided by era-defining fashion, the film transcends the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s. For Olivia DeJonge, who plays Elvis’s ex-wife Priscilla Presley, that journey is filled with custom Miu Miu and Prada outfits, transformative makeup and dramatic hair changes. “Those 30 years [saw] huge changes in fashion, particularly for women,” she says. “And I think it reflected where Priscilla was in her life.”
Doing the fashion icon justice was no small feat, and Olivia DeJonge is constantly being remade throughout Elvis. “Every scene was kind of a different look,” she says. “We had maybe 10 or 12 wigs to choose from.”

At just 14 years old, Priscilla became tied to the superstar’s identity before she had a chance to develop her own. The film follows her as she goes from a wide-eyed teen to a silently struggling wife to an independent divorcee.
We first see her wearing a girlish updo with swooping baby hairs and natural makeup. She transforms after meeting Elvis, sporting her signature sky-high bouffant and glamorous mod style. By the end of their marriage, she has long, voluminous curls and more practical clothes. “She’s freer,” DeJonge notes.
Costume designer Catherine Martin collaborated with Miuccia Prada to bring Priscilla Presley’s fashion legacy to life. Some looks referenced past outfits, while others put a contemporary twist on her style.
DeJonge’s personal favourite? A glistening beaded number inspired by what Ms. Presley wore to an Elvis concert in Las Vegas. “Stepping into pieces that reflected [Priscilla] made me feel closer to her in a way,” she says.

Elvis is an undeniable ode to the rock-n-roll singer, but if you look closely, his ex-wife’s fashion tells a story of its own. “I think the way that she took control of her life was [in] the way that she presented herself to the world, [because] so much of her life was out of her control,” says DeJonge. As such, the film casts a sartorial spotlight on Priscilla Presley’s self-discovery.
Below, Olivia DeJonge chatted more with FASHION about the costumes in Elvis what she learned about herself throughout this process and her experience tearfully bonding with Priscilla Presley over the film.
When you played this role, what parallels did you see between Priscilla’s style evolution and her personal journey?
We go from the ‘50s, she’s younger, and she doesn’t fully know herself yet. And then we’ve got the ‘60s, where perhaps Elvis has a lot of say in what she’s wearing and how she’s dressing. And then in the ‘70s, she’s taking a hold of her life, she’s freer. She wears jeans, flats and she’s got the Farrah Fawcett wig. Every scene was kind of a different look. We had like, maybe 10 or 12 wigs to choose from.
One thing that struck me about Priscilla was her aura of quiet sadness and soft strength. Can you talk about the process of conveying Priscilla’s nature through unspoken aesthetics?
From the get-go, I had always seen her as sensitive and to herself, but I think it would have been an obvious choice to play her as small. I think there’s strength in softness, there’s strength in vulnerability, there’s strength in femininity, which are all things that I myself had to learn about who I was too. So it was an interesting life parallel to the film.

You mentioned there’s a pre- and post-Elvis Olivia DeJonge. Can you explain that distinction?
Pre-Elvis, I kind of felt like a Bambi, like a newborn. I was younger — it’s been like three and a half years now. I kind of felt like I was bumping around and I didn’t know how to center myself. As a director, Baz [Luhrmann] will push you to your limits…And through uncomfortableness comes a lot of growth. Post the job, I feel way more grounded, way more centred and way more in touch with my femininity. I also have a whole new appreciation for aesthetics, fashion, hair and makeup…I stepped away from [this experience knowing] it’s another mode of self-expression, and how integral that is to being human.
What was it like meeting Priscilla Presley after making the film?
It wasn’t truly until Cannes [Film Festival] that we probably got to sit down, talk about things and get to know each other. She’s a huge fan of the film and said some beautiful things to me. By the end of the screening, we were sitting next to each other holding hands and crying, so that’s all you can really ask for.
It’s a sad fact of life that weather conditions won’t always allow you to flaunt your svelte legs in short shorts every workout. Clouds inevitably appear, winds whip and rains descend. What’s needed in these times of weatherly struggle is a humble pair of men’s workout pants to keep you pushing when the elements turn against you.
While the clue is in the name, exercise itself is a vast field. Men’s workout pants thrive when used in the depths of the chilly winter months when battling icy conditions and everything in your body is telling you not to go outside. That’s when you need an extra layer of sartorial enthusiasm to wrap yourself in.
Some designs, such as the ON Running pants, are catered specifically as waterproof and windproof. Others adopt a traditional “jogger”form, in which heavyweight Terry Cloth cotton will help stave off the cold and the wind. They are also a marvelous tool for less intense training regimes such as warm-ups and warm-downs, dog-walks, light-jogs, and getting back to working out after an injury since they aid homeostasis by slipping on and off with ease.
As we see it, the rest phase is just as integral to the fitness phase, and a lot of men’s workout pants also double up as fine couch companions too. But, if you have the energy to get off the couch after a workout, they can look extremely dapper when worn out and about.
In recent years, we have even seen them transcend the gym and blur into more fashionable realms owing to the ever-growing streetwear market. Consider New Balance x Aimé Leon Dore’s 2020 campaign “Runners Aren’t Normal” as typical of how men’s workout pants are worn alongside long coats, beanie hats, and clean sneakers have formed a desirable high-low fashion aesthetic. The age-diverse cast shows how this particularly stylish/cozy party is open to everyone.
So, whether it’s nestling up on the couch with a book, or maniacally running up the Philadelphia Museum of Art steps to the Rocky soundtrack, we’ve flicked through countless JPEGs and scoured the internet high and low to find these eleven best men’s workout pants below. Grab your trainers, drink a nice cup of ambition and get on out there.
Our Top Picks

The wide elastic waistband makes these joggers the perfect partners-in-crime to chill out and watch a crime-busting-police-duo bust open some case.

Whether you’ve never sat cross-legged before or you walk down the stairs in chakrasana, these Nike yoga pants are an ideal practice companion. The idea of yoga pants might conjure up notions of baggy harem-style pants, these adopt a more modern, slimmer approach, and yet retain the stretch, comfort, and all-important flexibility of motion necessary for an adept pair of yoga pants.
During yoga, things can get sweaty. Real sweaty. So the sweat-wicking properties will help you stay dry, comfortable, and focused on the task at hand. These sweatpants by Axel Arigato blend classiness, simplicity, and vintage swagger with such delectable ease. The organic cotton construction lends these men’s pants their blissful ergonomic experience when worn, but also contributes to a less ecologically destructive means of farming.
The blending of green and gold makes a design of vintage simplicity, with a straight leg silhouette, simple elasticated ankle, and a roomy construction. Sure, you could pop out for a jog, but these are almost too cool for that. They need to be styled with panache. We suggest here may be a chore jacket, a pair of chunky trainers and a relaxed t-shirt.

“Excuse me. I’m just going to stop you there.” Says the gym police to the trendy athlete.
“Um. Can I help you?” They say, coolly.
“Just wondering if you have a license to train?” Says the officer with a stern expression.
While there’s little risk of being stopped by the gym police IRL (unless you are training worryingly hard or you’re freeloading) these Lululemon men’s workout pants guarantee you the answer: “Just look at these things. Of course, I have a license to train.”
Thanks to its Luxtreme Fabric construction with added lycra, the tight-fit pants are super stretchy, sweat-wicking, produce little friction, and compress your muscles for maximum exertion. They also happen to look rather dapper.
These are ideal for workouts that need unimpeded leg movement like yoga, sprinting, and general gym HIIT workouts. They have silicone grippers on the inside leg to ensure no slippage and boast little pockets so your Advanced Training License is never more than a zip away.
The sophistication and desirability of these men’s workout pants are to be expected when dealing with running brand ON Running. They also come with a wealth of tricks down to their ankle cuffs.
Firstly, there’s the zip from ankle to knee allowing an easy exit and entry of the trousers without taking your trainers off; great for warm-ups and cool-down swap overs. Secondly, stashed away in the rear pocket, a thin nylon loop is designed to attach to your key. This wonderful detail means: no more getting locked out of your house and no more carrying your key rings around like an off-duty jailer.
While they are designed specifically with runners in mind, their lightweight, adjustable and waterproof nature delivers a wider sporting remit.
The softness of the French Terry cotton here allows you for two types of experiences. The first is to be paired with a chilled day swanning around the house featuring intermittent bathing, Netflix, and unrestrained eating. Your skin will be singing with joy.
The second is to get active. The density of the fabric is great for lighter workouts, warm-ups, warm-downs, and cold-climate activities. It’s this versatility that makes these New Balance men’s workout pants a wardrobe essential.
Sizes: XS-XXXL | Material: 60% cotton, 40% polyester | Best for: jogging, lounging, walking the dog, layering | Colors: natural indigo, pink haze, rich earth, sea salt heather
Inject some excitement into your men’s workout pants with the pure luxury of cashmere. Cashmere wool is from the Cashmere sheep and has an incredible thread count, making it unfathomably soft and a very good insulator.
Wool has been adopted into men’s workout pants and gear more and more in recent years because it is lightweight, breathable, sweat-wicking, anti-microbial, insulating, and fully biodegradable, making it score high on circularity parameters. The recycled cashmere of these joggers from COS means it goes one better.
These joggers do not need to exert themselves stylistically for the gorgeous dark gray hue does all the heavy lifting. And need we mention how incredibly comfortable cashmere jogging bottoms will be for lounging?
Sizes: XS-XL | Material: recycled cashmere | Best for: jogging, a cold weather insulating layer, lounging | Colors: dark gray, gray
These jazzy, old-school Adidas pants are worn just as easily on the trails, as they are in bed on a Sunday morning doing sweet, sweet nothing.
The pants are constructed from an insulating, warming, and indulgent fleece material, giving your body that protection to go out and tackle the day’s exercise. The material is recycled too, re-using and re-utilizing otherwise defunct plastics which, like the daily exercise it’s facilitating, is a positive step forward.
These pants will work fantastically well with a cap, a long winter coat, wireless headphones, and a pair of sleek white sneakers, to create a sort of cultured-but-casual, city-dweller look.
Sunspel is known for its pristine, high-quality menswear basics. So, when they released their Activewear range, the timelessness of design and use of high-quality fabrics were to be expected. These joggers feature a unique Dri-release fabric designed specifically for moisture-wicking, so expect a far more pleasurable, breathable experience while your work out wearing these.
What we love is how the minimalist design means that you can be dressed for the gym, without making that fact desperately clear to the rest of the world. This is understated Activewear at its most refined.
The best men’s workout pants for men balance all of the extremes of various workouts and are also great for lounging in. More specifically for yoga, you’ll want something that offers maximum movement. That means a tight taper around the ankle and movement around the hips for those blissful, long stretches.
For running, there are either the conventional jogging bottoms, generally made from cotton, which are warm and comforting, or go for a more technical windproof, waterproof angle that might suit trail running specifically. Gym pants might embrace muscle compression, tightness, and sweat-wicking principles.
Fabric
Brands are continually investing in better fabrics. Look out for properties such as sweat-wicking, anti-bacterial, water-proofing, and wind-proofing. Other brands are looking to adopt more ecologically sound principles and are using recycled polyesters and organically farmed materials.
So, it just depends on your personal set of priorities and the fabric that suits your pants. Thanks to the rise in technical materials, we’ve also seen traditional workout materials find their way into smart-casual, office-wear aesthetics. This has pushed men’s workout pants into more of a multi-faceted, all-purpose wardrobe item.
Fit will also determine use. For overall application, try a slim fit. This will make it comfortable enough to chill in, adaptable enough to style with versatility, and tight enough to keep close to your body while working out.
We have been seeing traditional elements of tailoring, such as pleating, creep into men’s workout pants, giving a more shapely, smarter fit, while retaining workout credentials. A tight fit is perfect for maximum flexibility, movement, and applicability in the sporting realm, while baggier fits work well with a nice cup of coffee on the couch.
FAQ
This is slightly dependent on the workout they’re doing. For yoga, you want tightness around the ankles and bagginess up top for ease of movement. If you’re looking at sprinting, or HIIT, maybe tight compression pants would be better. Out for a casual jog? Then go for slim-fit jogging bottoms in cotton which will double-up as lounge pants, or for rainy climates, waterproof running pants are a good shout.
This slightly depends on what activity you’re doing. However, workout pants that are slim fit, but not skin-tight achieve a perfect balance of everything. This gives you comfort, flexibility, movement, and versatility of use.
You’ll be looking to wear something a little tighter than your average loose briefs. A snug-fitting performance boxer with technical materials is preferred, however, the one golden rule is that they’re compact and they keep the bundle in one bundle.
The jury is out on whether compression pants actually deliver performance benefits. But, if you’re looking to try anything in the name of potential edge, they are supposedly meant to deliver injury protection, a reduction in muscle fatigue due to increased oxygenation, groin support, and help offset DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness)
If you’ve spent more than five minutes on TikTok, you likely know who Alicia Mccarvell is. The Canadian-based content creator has amassed a TikTok following of nearly 4.8 million people just by being her funny, authentic self.
In some videos, she’s working out with her husband, Scott; in others, she’s putting her spin on a popular TikTok trend. But most notably, Alicia has made a name for herself by using her platform to promote body positivity and destigmatize what “healthy” bodies are supposed to look like.
In her most recent TikTok video, Mccarvell opened up about the many people who, due to societal beauty standards, think she and her husband “don’t make sense.”
The video came after she received backlash for a different TikTok she posted earlier in the week — a transitional video of her and Scott going from an unready, still-in-a-towel look to glam evening attire (a common TikTok trend many couples have taken part in). The video went viral, with nearly 20 million views. “I think we all know why [it went viral],” Mccarvell says: some of the top comments in the video include things like “this ain’t adding up” and “love is definitely blind.”
In her recent video responding to the backlash, Mccarvell explains that “the world looks at us and immediately values Scott more than me.” She goes on to say, “Since we don’t add up, people try to add things to my side of the equation to make it make sense by saying things like ‘Oh, she must not have been fat when they met’ or ‘Oh, she’s gotta be rich.’ Or they try to decrease his side of the equation by saying things like ‘He must be gay’ or ‘He fetishizes fat women.’ We’ve been made to believe that somebody who is physically fit, like Scott, could never in a million years be in love with or compatible with a fat woman — and that’s solely because the world has literally taught us that we have to value our worth on our bodies.”
Mccarvell goes on to talk about how Scott receives many DMs from women — most often from women who are thin and think he should be with someone like them.
“A woman slid into Scott’s DMs and said, ‘You should be with somebody who looks like me.’ She was thin and, by beauty standards, a 10/10. Here’s the thing, though: me telling myself for the majority of our relationship that I’m not worthy of his love because of my body is the exact same thing as this thin woman telling him that she is worthy of his because of her body. I’m undervaluing myself, and she’s overvaluing herself. We’ve both been made to believe that our value lies in our body.”
In her video, Mccarvell says that despite the DMs and the many people taking interest in her husband, she does not experience jealousy: “That’s because, when people typically slide into his DMs, they’re leading with their body first. And on the scale of what my husband values, how well my body fits into the beauty standards is not on the top of his list. He values my humor, and my commitment, and my love, and my caring heart. None of these things that he values about me change if my body changes.”
Let this be your reminder that you are not defined by your size or by a number on the scale. As Mccarvell says in her video, there are so many characteristics to value about yourself that go beyond your physical appearance.
Wrapping up her video, Mccarvell says, “People’s values do not lie in how well their bodies fit into society’s trash beauty standards. And I get it — if this is the way you think, it’s the way you’ve been taught. However, it is your responsibility to unlearn it.”

The summer solstice is today, and just in time for the official start of the new season, Eva Longoria has posted a striking bikini photo on Instagram. “A little sol never hurt nobody,” she captioned the shot of herself lounging in a yellow two-piece swimsuit by a pool. Longoria spoke to SheKnows in April about her body in her 40s, along with how she approached being postpartum and the pressure to get back into pre-baby shape.
“I’m very thankful to my body,” she said. “I think that’s something—we’re so hard on our bodies as women. Like, ‘I’m so fat,’ ‘look at this,’ ‘I wish my arms didn’t do this,’ ‘I wish my jeans fit better,’ blah blah, and I think when your body hears that negativity, you know, it can be toxic so words create emotional poison so be sure to thank your body. Be grateful to your body. Especially after I had my baby, I was in no rush to work out. I was in no rush to hurry up and get back to great shape. I was like, ‘thank you so much body for creating the love of my life.’”

While it’s true that the pandemic urged fashionable folk to look at the crewneck sweatshirt and all things loungewear in greater detail, its easy-going style, and youthful demeanor made it a staple of every man’s wardrobe even in the before-times. It has always been ubiquitous and it has always been loved.
Why is the crewneck sweatshirt so fabulous, we hear you ask? It finely balances warmth with lightweight breathability, ease of movement, and stylishness. While it is still firmly in the athletic/casual realm, innovative designers have been setting their creativity free and have elevated the style with embroidery, luxurious materials, and dramatic colors.
This has splintered the style towards refined smart-casual, but the baggier fits have ironically made them perfect for doing absolutely no exercise.
Below, we have expertly curated and joyfully collated the best bundle of crewneck sweatshirts the market currently has to offer. Get ready to enjoy.

History of the Crewneck Sweatshirt
Let’s take you into an alternate fictional reality where the sweatshirt does not exist. There are winter joggers sweating in heavy cable knit jumpers, fell runners huffing and puffing in chore jackets, and soccer players tripping over their trench coats while training. Utterly ridiculous. The crewneck sweatshirt answers the question of: what to wear when exercising outside in the cold?
Benjamin Russel Jr was a football player with a burning sartorial dream. He went to his father, owner of Russell Athletic, in 1926 with the idea to replace the current scratchy wool jerseys with softer cotton versions. With this simple origin story, the crewneck sweatshirt was born, helping to explain its inherently American, sporty, and collegiate feel.
Our Top 10 Picks
The Best Crewneck Sweatshirts
Sunspel is a brand that is wholly relied upon when it comes to your wardrobe essentials. Since a gray sweatshirt is a foundational piece, it’s unsurprising that Sunspel has scored so highly in all parameters of a good sweatshirt. Its loopback cotton construction means it is as soft on the inside as it is sleek on the outside and its gray shade makes it a dream to style day-to-day.
The innovative V-neck or v-notch stitching helps strengthen the neckline, meaning it won’t falter or waver with time. Plus, the extra thick cotton in the triangle was originally designed to help mop up yet more volume of sweat. All good stuff.
There are a fine array of color options here, but we have to mention specifically the soft green. Its fresh tone with bursting positivity will look lovely in the warmer months of the year. The decadent plum color is great for when the weather turns cold, while the gray and black will make for seasonless pieces fantastic for year-round styling.
Its chic feel comes from the design simplicity: the soft collar, cozy hems and minimal stitching. Simplicity has been applied to the very soil the sweatshirt was grown from too. The organic cotton construction means that no pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers were used, equating to less water use, and a healthier, more biodiverse agricultural landscape. This sweatshirt is brimming with life.
Material: 100% organic cotton | Size Range: S-XL | Care: Machine Wash (40 degrees, do not tumble dry)
The “Unrecorded” branding on the chest plate is subtly making a statement. Its smart, efficient and stylish font style is setting the melody for this sweatshirt.
Its sharp branding means it could work as an alternative to the office shirt on days when you’re feeling in need of a sartorial hug. The charcoal shade balances this traditional crew neck sweatshirt, making it quite versatile stylistically too; allowing it to flit between casual and smart-casual with ease. It’s made from organic cotton in Portugal, a place known for its high standards of ethical production. What’s not to like?
Organic cotton is a positive step since it means less water used and no chemicals. From an ergonomic standpoint, this soft-brushed material almost caresses the skin when worn. The silhouette of this Closed crewneck sweatshirt is given a roomier fit with extended shoulder stitches, which allows it to drape off your frame nonchalantly.
We love the white color too. If you can get over the fear of spillages, the white sweatshirt is a versatile item, making it a good value for money since it will match most of your existing wardrobe.
There’s a bad way to do a fade and there’s a good way: the Wax London way. A soft pastel blue is dyed through the organic cotton exterior with trepidation and care, creating a tasteful style that’s a testament to the brand.
They don’t give this sweatshirt the name “zen” for no reason, it has a chilled facade and aesthetically nudges you to take a more laissez-faire approach to life. Plus, the stitched shoulder construction gives added durability meaning this stylish partner will stick around for even longer.
The vibrant hues of the embroidery, designed by classic sportswear giant, Champion, (sing out from the plain heather grey cotton-blend background. The embroidery is punched out in London and it depicts eclectic gemstones sprouting out around the well-known and loved Champion logo. The epic rear design contains 113,000 stitches and can take up to three hours to complete.
This is a crewneck sweatshirt that effortlessly merges artistic flair, with vibrant colors, and soft fabrics, culminating in a meaningful celebration of the natural world and a product of real integrity.
Sometimes a little vibrancy is, well, fun. This Champion sweatshirt makes no mistake about who its creator is as the diagonal branding punctuates the rich maroon background. With soft collared hems at the neckline, cuff, and waist, this sweatshirt will send a shiver of satisfaction down your spine, while on the outside you will be strolling with panache.
As a brand, Champion is an undisputed classic when it comes to sweatshirts. For years, the little “C” emblazoned on the chest of a sweatshirt has been the gold standard of casualwear. It suggests the freedom of your collegiate years: louche, cool, and carefree.
Just in case you needed any visual cues as to what the sweatshirt’s heritage might be, GAP has kindly provided it emblazoned across the front: “Sport.” The very fact that this light heather gray sweatshirt is so typically what you expect a sweatshirt to look like, is what makes it so excellent.
The looser fit and snugly cuffed edges mean that it has the complete versatility of sportswear, loungewear, WFH-wear, and casual dressing. It’s the complete archetypal package.
Don’t be fooled by the ergonomically-friendly kangaroo pouch that provides refuge for your hands, a glance up to the neckline will be met with shock and confusion, as this is not a hoodie. Here, Everlane has combined the coziness of the pouch with the freedom of a hoodless design. The softness of the cotton, teamed up with the ease of the Kingfisher Blue makes this piece very hard to resist.
Owing to the organic cotton’s certification process, it combines well with Everlane’s emphasis on transparency. It’s also guaranteed to be farmed without the use of pesticides, herbicides, and chemical fertilizers.
The garter stitch weave that permeates this J Crew sweatshirt delivers a sumptuous texture, gives excellent insulating properties, and allows for a bit of stretch too, making it a fine practical choice. But, clothes aren’t all about practicality.
The design boasts a smooth Ivory top half and very French navy Breton stripes below. It’s no wonder this sweatshirt is so damn chic. This sweatshirt has transcended mere casual dressing and has entered the sophisticated echelons of smart-casual.
Don’t worry. We all used to think bright orange sweaters were silly once as well. That was until I wore a Carhartt WIP sweatshirt on a shoot around The Barbican, London. Surprise, I am now a convert.
This Carhartt WIP sweatshirt has a particular heft, meaning it’ll be durable, and warm and more importantly, it has the feel of a high-quality garment. Aside from that, the ultra-cozy feeling from the inner lining is certain to paint a smile across your face.
If you aren’t well acquainted with regenerative organic cotton, it is the idea that if you prioritize soil health, a bounty of benefits proceeds from there. Regenerative farming seeks to reinvigorate the livelihood of soil microbiome, water retention, carbon drawdown, biodiversity, and the lives of its farmers. When you consider that 1% of cotton worldwide is grown organically, you begin to appreciate the rarity of being able to purchase regeneratively farmed clothing.
But, enough eco-chat. As a product, it boasts all that you desire from a solid crewneck sweatshirt: insulating, feel-good, and comfortingly casual. The elegance of the mountainous Patagonia logo referencing the beauty of the natural world is enough of a statement by way of styling.
Material: 100% Regenerative Certified Organic French terry cotton. Hem: 89% Regenerative Organic Certified cotton French terry, 11% Spandex | Size Range: XS-XXL | Care: Machine wash
The bright fizz of this lemon yellow sweatshirt by AMI Paris definitely sets it apart from the crowd. Unlike other yellow garments, this piece doesn’t warrant sunglasses just to look at it, but instead has a more pleasing and mellow vibe.
The foundational sweatshirt is constructed with rugged seams through the shoulder blades to ensure the silhouette doesn’t degrade over time and is made from the highest quality cotton. The cuffed wrists, neck, and waist are weighty, comforting, and will stretch to your utmost comfort.
Material: 100% cotton | Size Range: XS-XL Fit: Designed for a loose fit, so it’s recommended to buy a size up | Care: Machine wash
The addition of the soft fleece is not just clever, innovative, and welcoming, it’s an act of kindness on Nike’s part. Don’t be surprised when a warm, loving sensation flows through your body when worn. The baggy fit ensures it still feels like it has vintage provenance, which helps foster desirability, and ensures the crewneck sweatshirt is in line with current fashion trends’ lust for all-things-old-school.
Having said that, the nuanced swoosh design with its inverted, background-less counterpart helps retain a sense of modern athleticism.
For the more athletically inclined among you, the recycled Fleece is moisture-wicking (great for a workout), water-resistant (fantastic for outdoor activities), and comes with particular resilience to the degrading effects of constant stretch.
The tightly wrapped sleeves ensure it stays true to your body, doesn’t let the breeze in, and gives a performance edge. The zip side pockets retain the classic silhouette while ensuring your nonchalant posture can still be attained. This is a crewneck sweatshirt for the sports freaks among you.
Sometimes, the magnetism of a piece of clothing is captured by its tantalizingly spare presentation. Gucci has lived up to its reputation as the current trendsetter with a minimalist, retro design in a gorgeous off-white hue.
The blue Gucci logo mirrors and entwines a red logo to create intricate geometric branding. What this crewneck sweatshirt offers, is unparalleled panache, threaded with premium Italian materials into a perfect fit, delivering an enticing retro aesthetic. You would expect nothing less from Gucci.
The power of a good color block to enliven even the most dreary of outfits must not be underestimated. The relentlessly stylish navy blue, combined with the ice-cream cool pistachio hue is neutralized by the white at the bottom.
While L.L. Bean may not have reinvented the wheel or the crewneck sweatshirt, they have given a nice alternative for those looking for something with a point of difference. The cotton-polyester blend makes for a lightweight, energetic feel that’ll stand up to the challenge of repeated washes.
Adidas harnesses the power of the 3-stripe that runs over the top of both arms, plays off the relaxed Quiet Crimson tint below, and creates a unique look only Adidas could produce. In a bid to move towards more sustainable fabrics, Adidas has introduced 30% recycled polyester content here.
The laidback feel of this garment and its heavyweight material make it excellent for winter sports, or just good old-fashioned loungewear.
This product is for those who want to take the chilled feel of pandemic loungewear out into the real world. The snug hand pockets will help keep the extremities warm and your relaxed posture in good stead.
Meanwhile, the black background Lyle & Scott logo brings assured verve to proceedings, making it a crewneck sweatshirt worth showing off to the world. The intelligent use of the off-white propels into the circles of luxury loungewear. This is very classy casual wear.
This 100% organic cotton Norse Projects crewneck sweatshirt blends the dark arts of screen printing and the joys of embroidery to create a chestplate that naturally attracts the eye. The soft, inviting texture of the navy cotton and the way that the white branding stands so resolutely against the background, adds to the aesthetic zeal and flavor of this sweatshirt.
It makes for a brilliant smart-casual partner in crime, worn with some selvedge jeans, white trainers and even an oxford shirt underneath. You will be batch brewing kombucha, getting excited by fixies and living the hipster dream in no time.
Pay close attention to the weight of the fabric. This will greatly affect how insulating, how breathable, and just generally how it will feel on your body. Generally, crewneck sweatshirts are made from cotton, but that could be blended with polyester or recycled polyester.
We are seeing more frequent use of organic cotton and even the beginnings of regeneratively grown cotton, which is the gold standard of ecological benefit.
Color
The timeless design of the crewneck sweatshirt means that subtle color variations make all the difference. Stock your wardrobe with a foundation of white, gray and navy sweatshirts. This is because they will never go out of fashion, are easy to style (reducing stress), and will serve you well in the long term.
Elsewhere, we are loving the paradoxically bold, yet muted tones of the lemon yellow AMI Paris piece and pastel green A Day’s March sweatshirt.
Design
Design is not just aesthetic, it also affects build structure and longevity. V-neck stitching around the neckline of a crewneck sweatshirt helps keep the neckline from warping.
Plus, over-the-shoulder blades, reinforced stitching, and the use of paneling can help guard against structural deformity in the long term. Visually, vibrant embroidery, a tactful chest logo, or a tasteful graphic can add real allure.
FAQ
A crewneck sweatshirt is a mid-weight cotton top that has athletic/sports heritage but has been adopted into more casual and loungewear applications in the modern day. Thanks to more sophisticated designs and material uses, the style has begun to stretch into more formal realms too.
Its traditional cotton construction means that it does well in the washing machine on a colder wash of around 30 degrees to retain softness and structure of the fabric. Higher temperature washes will speed up the degradation process of the fabric.
Due to its simplicity and versatility, there are no fast rules. Wear it by itself. Wear it over a shirt or t-shirt. Wear it under a jacket or coat. Wear it with jeans, chinos, or matching tracksuit bottoms. The style of the sweatshirt itself will determine your styling choices.
There are two fits: natural and oversized. The natural fit ensures material doesn’t impede sports, exercise, and works well when layering with jackets/coats etc. The oversized fit (one, or possibly two sizes up) is en-vogue and adept for lazy lounging.

Regardless of what brought you here, there’s a good chance this 10-day self-care workout challenge will do the trick.
While self-care can entail relaxing or taking a quiet moment alone, it can also be about taking time to sweat, stretch, and reconnect with your body. “If I wasn’t nervous, I’d be a little worried,” says television star, executive producer, serial entrepreneur, and mother of four Kim Kardashian. “I’m really superstitious about projects before they launch. But this is a good nervousness—I hope the products really resonate with people and they understand why I’m launching the brand.”
Every time a new celebrity beauty line launches, the world seems to ask “why,”—but Kardashian has built an empire around the desire to emulate every single thing about her (she even joked about it during her SNL opening monologue). And if endless waitlists on Skims have proven anything, staying genuine is the key to success.
“I wanted this line to be authentic to me as possible,” she says. “I launched Skims because it was a solution to a problem, and I want SKKN to help people find a solution to their skincare problems. These products also feel more authentic to me and how much I care about having a good skin base.”
SKKN by Kim is a nine-piece skincare like that Kardashian collaborated on with her longtime aesthetician, Joanna Czech. Each product has a different hero ingredient (you’ll find vitamin C, physical and chemical exfoliators, and retinol-emulator alfalfa throughout the line), so you can mix and match to suit your needs.

Some of the best feedback Kardashian had while formulating SKKN was from longtime friend Stephanie Shepherd, who is obsessed with the cleanser.
“I take my skincare routine seriously,” she says. “People kept telling me, ‘you should launch with three products,’ but that’s not what I use for my routine.”
You can also emulate Kardashian’s uber-cool minimalist aesthetic when using the pieces. The hand-tooled packaging was inspired by the ceramics in her monochromatic home, designed by Axel Vervoordt. “Packaging meetings are what I live for,” she says. “It makes me so fucking horny to see the design come to life.”
Throughout the interview, Kardashian acknowledges that having the time for a multi-step skincare routine is a luxury. “I’m a mom, and I might not have all the time in the world, but I take the time to take care of my skin, and it’s worth it,” she says. “It is work, but the magic is when the products all come together,” she says.

Scott Wabano shares how their Indigenous community gave
them the strength to embrace their Two-Spirit identity.
By
Scott Wabano, as told to Russ Martin
Date June 21, 2022
Growing up, I went to powwows all across Turtle Island. As a residential school survivor, my mom felt it was important that I take pride in my identity as Eeyou and Swampy Cree, from the Cree Nation of Waskaganish in Eeyou Istchee. Just as she learned the Cree way of life from her mother, I got my teachings from my mom. The two of us would regularly make the trek from my hometown of Moose Factory, Ont. (which is only accessible by boat or helicopter in the summer), to gatherings in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta and down into the Dakotas, Montana, Wisconsin and Arizona. The trips started when I was around three years old, and because of them, I was able to build a family of mentors and knowledge keepers — elders, aunties, uncles, cousins and friends — who helped me over time on my journey as a Two-Spirit person.
I was at a powwow when I first heard about Two-Spirit people. The term was created at an Indigenous lesbian and gay inter-tribal gathering in Treaty 1 back in 1990, five years before I was born. Broadly speaking, it describes the many gender, societal and ceremonial roles carried out by people in different nations. Two-Spirit people send messages, tell prophecies and ensure that our histories are never erased. But we are not a monolith; each Two-Spirit person has their own unique gifts. My own Two-Spirit identity is rooted in Eeyou and Swampy Cree culture. Niishuudehiiyuu is an Eeyou Cree word that translates to “the person with two hearts.” As niishuudehiiyuu, we bring balance and harmony to our communities. Another word, muydeow, loosely translates to “medicine person” or “shaman” — someone who can speak to the creator and other realms.
As a child, I wasn’t ready to identify as Two-Spirit. Being both Indigenous and effeminate, I already had dual targets on my back. I’d wear my mom’s T-shirts and pretend they were dresses; I had long hair, shopped in the girls section at Value Village and was always singing along with my Britney Spears CD. I dealt with discrimination by non-Indigenous people and bullying by some members of my own community. But I found refuge at powwows, where I was celebrated for who I was. Even today, when I hear the drums and singing coming from a powwow, I want to run toward the noise and dance in the beautiful, healing energy. Later in life, I sought out that same energy in the queer community.
In 2017, I moved to Toronto. At that time, I was trying to understand what it meant to be gay, non-binary and Two-Spirit, but I was still figuring out how I identified. I met a mentor who gifted me the phrase “My queerness is traditional.” They told me, “Whenever you’re feeling in doubt about your queerness, or when someone tells you to separate your queerness from your Indigeneity, remember that you come from a bloodline of Two-Spirit people, of ancestors who had queerness within.”
That year, Two-Spirit people led the Toronto Pride parade, and I walked with them. I was reminded of how I felt at the powwows, surrounded by my community. In that moment, at the intersection of my queerness and Indigenous identity, I knew that I was Two-Spirit. I didn’t “come out” in the traditional sense; rather, I came into myself as a Two-Spirit person.
I always think of future generations of Two-Spirit people. I feel I have a role in my community to ensure that Two-Spirit youth don’t feel the need to sacrifice their Indigeneity or their queerness to achieve their dreams. As a stylist and the creative director of my genderless clothing label, Wabano, I’ve traded in my mom’s T-shirts for high fashion. Many of my designs are inspired by the Two-Spirit and Indigiqueer people I work with. My 2021 collection included a graphic shirt with the phrase that helped me embrace who I am: “My queerness is traditional.” I wanted to remind Two-Spirit people that these roles and identities have always been a part of our cultures. But the shirt is not just a piece of clothing; it features an affirmation that can be repeated whenever we need it.
My queerness is traditional. My queerness is traditional. My queerness is traditional.

Khloé Kardashian has reportedly moved on from her on and off ex Tristan Thompson after his multiple cheating scandals, Peopleand E! confirm, and is now dating someone who isn’t in the spotlight at all.
A source told People that Khloé has been quietly seeing a private equity investor that her sister Kim Kardashian introduced her to a few weeks ago at a dinner party. The source explained that Khloé’s relationship with him is “still in its early stages, but [Khloé] is feeling really good with her new mystery man.”
That source added that despite photos of Thompson putting his arm around Khloé during their pre-Father’s Day lunch on Saturday, she and Thompson aren’t really close. In fact, they “hardly ever speak, except for when it comes to co-parenting matters,” the source told People.
E! confirmed independently that Khloé is indeed dating a private equity investor she met through Kim Kardashian. Neither outlet revealed his identity.
Khloé spoke out about her love life on Friday, denying social media speculation that she was romantically involved with another NBA player. A Khloé Kardashian fan account shared a screenshot from unverified celebrity gossip Instagram DeuxMoi claiming that Khloé was dating a basketball player.
“Who knows if this is true and I know she doesn’t need anyone but I CANNOT WAIT for her to have someone like Kravis and Kete one day because I know she will! 📸” the fan account wrote.
Khloé clarified in the account’s comments that the statement was false, and she has no boyfriend right now. “Definitely NOT true !!! I love you! Thank you for the nice wishes but I am not seeing a soul. I am happy focusing on my daughter and myself for awhile,” she shared.

Jennifer Lopez, 52, is known for having some of the best hair in the business, and lucky for us, her hairstylist is sharing the secret behind her shiny, glossy locks. After JLo served up a stunning look at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival, Chris Appleton, celebrity hairstylist and Global Creative Director of Color Wow, shared all of the details that went into creating the hairstyle. While multiple products were involved, the clear star of the show was the $29 Color Wow Extra Mist-ical Shine Spray.
He then sculpted the singer’s iconic half-up-half-down style by applying Color Wow’s Cult Favorite Firm + Flexible Hairspray to a boar bristle brush to help smooth down the top section and create a sleek look. After using a barrel iron to give the hair movement, Appleton went in with the true star of the hour (besides JLo, that is), the Extra Mist-ical Shine Spray, “To give the hair that infamous, glossy look with a soft bounce on the ends,” before reapplying the Firm + Flexible Hairspray to smooth down any baby hairs and finish the look.

The best part? It’s so easy to replicate Lopez’s glossy hairstyle. Color Wow’s shine spray is available on Amazon and Sephora for less than $30, and judging by the reviews, it’s safe to say that the Marry Me star isn’t the only one obsessed with this spray.
It works by keeping hair looking shiny and healthy without making it greasy or weighing it down. “This spray is the best! It makes my hair shine like diamonds and it’s bouncy and not greasy,” one reviewer writes. “It looks like I went to the salon,” another adds. Even if you don’t have a personal stylist, this spray is a quick and easy way to achieve luscious locks, and we can’t get enough of it.

As a shopping editor, I come across viral products on social media all the time. While I enjoy a useful cleaning tool or hidden shelf organizer, an unusually eye-catching item captured my attention today: a glass, bag-shaped vase-slash-aquarium that shoppers on Instagram have been posting about incessantly.
This content is imported from Instagram. You may be able to find the same content in another format, or you may be able to find more information, at their web site.
Yes, it’s a vase; you can use it to hold flowers or goldfish! (The bag shape appears to be more stylistic than functional, although Kylie Jenner once posted an Instagram featuring a glass Coperni bag. Carry it on your wrist at your own risk.) While many buyers simply add water for fresh blooms, the images provided by the retailer—which feature actual fish swimming around beneath the flowers—inspire buyers to also use it as a mini fish tank, too. Talk about multi-purpose home decor.
Turns out, there are surprisingly a lot of glass bags to choose from, with prices ranging as high as $160. The most affordable option we love is on Amazon and costs about 70 percent less than that: around $44 to $50. And Etsy has equally pretty dupes starting as low as $10.

I tumbled out of bed this morning, poured myself a cup of ambition (à la Dolly Parton) and hit play on the new Beyoncé song, “Break My Soul,” only for her to tell me to get back into bed.
The genre-bending bop marks the start of the Queen B Renaissance, her seventh solo album. Due to drop July 29, the record comes more than six years after the release of the pop culture phenomenon that was Lemonade. And if the lyrics to “Break My Soul” are any indication of what’s to come, Beyoncé is ready to put down the baseball bat and get some rest.
“Now I just fell in love, and I just quit my job, I’m gonna find new drive, damn they work me so damn hard,” she sings. “Work by nine, then off past five, and they work my nerves, that’s why I cannot sleep at night.”
Beyoncé is in her anti-work era, and her new tune is painfully perfect for our current reality. Between the Great Resignation, our fear of a pending recession and our collective disillusionment under capitalism, we’re all working too damn hard. But unlike Dolly Parton’s 1980 classic “9 to 5,” Beyoncé does not want you to Girl Boss from five to nine.
Her advice? “Release ya anger, release ya mind, release ya job, release the time, release ya trade, release the stress, release the love, forget the rest.” Oh, Beyoncé…If only it were that easy!
Not Beyoncé telling me to quit my job.. Not after making me pay $50 for that mystery box pic.twitter.com/EXKxNDGXz6
Obviously, even if the lyrics might persuade you to think otherwise, Beyoncé is not anti-capitalist (and she doesn’t exactly have a nine to five job). But she does understand burnout. After all, the multihyphenate’s been working since she was a child, and for all the accolades that hard work got her, it would seem that what she lost in the process was (in her own words) her mind.
So now, after taking some time for herself, Beyoncé is back, “sleeping real good at night” and building a new foundation for her future musical endeavours. As for the rest of us, quitting our day jobs isn’t really an option (how else will we afford those tour tickets?). But by the end of next month, we’ll have enough new music to dance away our troubles after hours.
The superstar dropped her new single “Break My Soul” at midnight, treating fans to an uplifting dance anthem about celebration, survival, and resilience. This marks our first glimpse at her long-awaited seventh album, Renaissance, due July 29.
This content is imported from YouTube. You may be able to find the same content in another format, or you may be able to find more information, at their web site.
The dance influences are apparent in the high-energy track; it samples the famous “Show Me Love” by Robin S. plus vocals from Big Freedia’s “Explode,” according to Pitchfork. (We did previously get hints that her new music would take us to the dance floor.)
It was also reported that Beyoncé was able to take more time to perfect her album given the delays over the pandemic. It seems she channeled a lot of the public’s feelings over this tumultuous time too, from undergoing big life changes (“Now I just fell in love / And I just quit my job”), to eagerly socializing again (“And we back outside”), to discovering new passions and priorities (“I done found me a new foundation”).
Beyoncé only announced this morning that she would be releasing “Break My Soul” at midnight. The song arrived sooner than expected on Tidal earlier this evening, but is now available to stream on other platforms too. Read the lyrics and get inspired below.
I’m ’bout to explode, take off this load Bend it, bust it open, won’t ya make it go? Yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka Yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka Release ya wiggle Yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka Yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka, yaka Release your wiggle
You won’t break my soul You won’t break my soul You won’t break my soul You won’t break my soul I’m telling everybody Everybody Everybody Everybody
Now I just fell in love And I just quit my job I’m gonna find new drive Damn they work me so damn hard Work by nine Then off past five And they work my nerves That’s why I cannot sleep at night

A wardrobe of wigs is the crowning glory of Susanne Bartsch’s 30-year reign as the queen of New York’s nightlife.
By
Annika Lautens
Date June 20, 2022
Susanne Bartsch doesn’t have a signature look. “My style is having no style,” the iconic New York City event planner laughs. “It’s always changing.” But that’s precisely why she’s been able to stay in the spotlight over the past 30 years — you never know what she’s going to do next. One day she’s curating a fashion-forward function and dancing alongside RuPaul and other famous drag queens and the next she’s designing her own capsule collection and inspiring an exhibition at the Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Despite all the colourful chaos, one of the biggest constants in her life has been her love of wigs — hence the wardrobe dedicated to her collection of over 75 wigs that is currently housed in her apartment in the Chelsea Hotel.
PHOTOGRAPHY BY TATIANA KATKOVA. STYLING BY PHIL GOMEZ. HAIR, FRANCIS RODRIGUEZ. MAKEUP, DENEY ADAM.
Bartsch believes that fashion has always been in her DNA. Growing up in Switzerland, the collector describes her parents as stylish but in a more conventional way. “I could never just wear pretty shoes with a pretty dress,” she shares. “There always had to be a twist.”
To express her independence, Susanne Bartsch bought her first wig, a clip-in ponytail, when she was around 14 years old. “I would sit at a café, wearing fake hair, and try to smoke,” she laughs. “None of it worked.” Desperate to escape the uniformity and traditionalism that defined Swiss style, Bartsch left for London, England, a few years later. But it wasn’t until she moved to NYC in the ’80s that she started building her hoard of hairpieces. “At first, it was all about trying to hide the fact that I was wearing a wig, but then all I wanted to do was advertise it.”
It wasn’t long before she was given the unofficial title “queen of New York nightlife” — thanks to her fabulous parties and her 1989 AIDS fundraiser Love Ball — and the collector soon transitioned from store-bought wigs to custom hairpieces. Over the years, she has enlisted help from some of the city’s most talented hairstylists, including the late Charley Brown and the current mastermind behind her distinctive ’dos, Francis Rodriguez.
This development saw Bartsch begin to experiment with colours, textures and styles, sporting everything from a short and sleek bob to a six-in-one afro. “That was the biggest wig I’ve ever worn,” she reveals of the six-piece hair hybrid. “It was probably about three feet long, which made getting in and out of taxis very difficult.”
PHOTOGRAPHY BY TATIANA KATKOVA. STYLING BY PHIL GOMEZ. HAIR, FRANCIS RODRIGUEZ. MAKEUP, DENEY ADAM.
But for Susanne Bartsch, the purpose of her collection can be defined in two words: function and fashion. “It’s just so much easier to wear a wig than to do my own hair,” she shares. “It’s also the perfect way to finish an outfit.” This belief is especially evident on Bartsch’s social media, where she shares photos of all of her wigs and outfits. An iridescent corset coordinates with an equally iridescent aqua wig; a golden cowboy-inspired look is topped with voluminous black curls; and an angular blue bob is worn with an armour-like metallic ensemble.
Due to the elaborate nature of her looks, Susanne Bartsch often refers to her fashion as a form of drag. “I wear day drag to meetings, which usually involves just popping on a clip-in ponytail,” she says. “Then I have semi-drag, which includes heels, heavier makeup and a wig. And then there’s full drag, which is really hectic and has a more-is-more mentality to it.”
And while Bartsch’s love of over-the-top hairdos is obvious, she does recognize that it might not be for everyone. “Some people are still weirded out by wearing wigs, but it’s like anything — if you embrace it, it’ll work.” She thinks you won’t regret it if you’re willing to give it a try.
Click through the gallery below to see more of Bartsch’s wig collection.
Back to black
Bartsch loves a black wig; she’s especially smitten with this sculptural bob, which she wore to her cabaret series “New York, New York!”
Step up
Why only collect one thing when you can collect two? Bartsch also has quite the stockpile of Vivienne Westwood heels dating back to the ’80s, which she often wears in tandem with her wigs.
Rococo Redux
Rodriguez describes this wig as “Chicana Marie Antoinette,” as he was inspired by his own MexicanAmerican heritage. “There’s some John Waters camp mixed in,” he admits.
Happy holidays
Bartsch wore this golden wig for the first time back in December 2021 for a holiday video sponsored by Hendrick’s Gin: Dressed in a festive red toy-soldier-inspired outfit that perfectly complements her golden mane, she pours herself a cocktail.
Victor/Victoria
“The motivation for my looks is never to look male or be female,” says Bartsch of this gender-bending wig. “It’s about doing something unexpected and giving things my own twist.”
Shine bright
To achieve such high-gloss glamour, Rodriguez coats many of his wigs in resin. And while the process may seem tedious, most manes take less than two days to complete, he says.
Clip it
Bartsch says that some really soft wigs might lose their shape if they aren’t properly stored, but this metallic mane, created by her late hairstylist Charley Brown, never will because of all the clips.
Mixed bag
“I put a little creepiness into everything I do,” says Rodriguez of the inspiration behind all his wigs. “But I also include [some influences] from ’70s and ’80s punk because Susanne loves it.

What To Look For When Looking For The Best Head Shaver
Now that you’re through our best head shaver list, we’re going to help you cement your decision by telling you what to look for in your perfect dome grooming product.
Wet & dry functionality
First of all, any of the best head shavers will offer the option for both wet and dry use. Many electric head shavers are safe for use in the bathtub or shower, making them convenient and easy to use, particularly if you have sensitive skin. If you come across a head shaver without any form of wet and dry flexibility, you should probably look elsewhere.
Battery life
Shaving your head shouldn’t take too long, but by opting for a header shaver with at least 60 minutes of solid battery life, you will be able to enjoy multiple grooming sessions between charges. So, as a minimum requirement, look for head shavers with at least 60 minutes of use time and a simple battery charging system, with USB charging a great option.
Design & shape
Choosing the best head shaver design depends on your level of hand-eye coordination, your palm size, and your personal preferences. If you like a traditional grip, for instance, you might choose a shaver with a traditional barber clipper design and if you prefer a palm grip, going for a skull shaver-style shape might be the best option.
Additional accessories & features
You might just want something simple and straightforward, but you would be amazed at how many men’s head shavers come with clever additional accessories or features. You might want a mix of clipper choices, for instance, or additional grooming attachments. Or you could be after something with a travel lock (if you’re a bit of a jet setter) and a skin massager (if you have a sensitive scalp). The point here is to think about your personal head grooming requirements and compare a few options. Before long, you’ll have the best head shaver of your dreams.
FAQ
To use a head shaver safely and effectively, you should first read through the manual in full to get to know your product and its functions.
Before use, you should charge your shaver in full, slightly dampen your head (or apply a pre-head shave product), and work from either front to back or back to front (whichever direction is more comfortable) pulling the skin tight as you go. It’s also worth noting that you should also hold your head shaver in your dominant hand.
Most modern head shavers are suitable for both wet and dry use (always double check yours before using it). That said, you can clean your shaver effectively by tapping any excess trimmings into the bin before opening up your shaver head (or removing it, depending on the design) and rinsing it thoroughly in water.
Once you’ve cleaned your shaver, make sure you dry it with cloth or towel and stow it away safely.
The best bald head shaver for someone often differs depending on personal needs and preferences.
But, for a classic clean bald headed look, hand held skull shaver designs with flexible floating blades usually offer the best finish. For a full rundown of the best head shavers, check out our definitive list above.
Head clippers, trimmers, and shavers do share a crossover as they are all portable and capable of achieving an even bald-headed or closely buzzed look.
While head trimmers offer the functionality to cut your hair to shorter or more cropped styles, clippers allow you to trim it down to any length, down to almost bald.
Dedicated head shavers often come with different clipper lengths for more grooming choices, but their flexible floating blades and ergonomic designs are purpose-built to achieve a smooth, even fully bald look.
Khloé Kardashian loves to communicate with her fans on social media directly, and she has once again answered a question for her followers in the Instagram comments. This time, she was responding to a rumor that she is seeing a new guy that was reported to be an NBA player.
The rumor started circulating after popular gossip account Deux Moi shared a DM from a follower saying that Kardashian was dating again. It then got reposted on a Khloé Kardashian fan account, where they wrote, “Who knows if this is true and I know she doesn’t need anyone but I CANNOT WAIT for her to have someone like Kravis and Kete one day because I know she will!”
“Kravis” and “Kete” refers to Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker and Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson, two hot and heavy romances in the family already.
If she is going to find something similar for herself, Kardashian clearly sees that relationship far down the road. She commented on the post, writing, “Definitely NOT true !!! I love you! Thank you for the nice wishes but I am not seeing a soul. I am happy focusing on my daughter and myself for awhile.”
She added a few emojis for emphasis, including some hearts, a blushing smiley face, and a figure doing a cartwheel.
Kardashian’s last relationship was with NBA player Tristan Thompson, with whom she shares her 4-year-old daughter, True Thompson. Their connection was fairly tumultuous and they broke up twice. It seemed like the relationship came to its final conclusion after it was exposed in the end of 2021 that Thompson was expecting a third child with personal trainer Maralee Nichols.
Meanwhile, Kardashian does seem to be spending a lot of time with family and recently traveled to Italy with the whole group to celebrate her sister’s wedding.

Who didn’t want to be a fairy as a kid? Through their whimsical imagery and mischievous reputation, the enchanting creatures brought excitement to all our favourite fairytales. It’s perhaps no surprise then that on TikTok, fascination with fairies has found a home within the fairycore aesthetic.
The trend, which first gained popularity on the app in 202o, is ideal for warm weather and draws on elements from nature. Think butterfly and flower motifs, earth tones and flowing materials. The fairycore aesthetic often comprises a hazy pastel colour palette and unconventional fabrics like silk, crochet and tulle combined to make billowing silhouettes. The goal is to, quite literally, look like a fairy.
Stemming from European folklore, fairies (or fae) live on in mythology. Though often associated with witchcraft and magic, the fairy remains somewhat of an enigma. That’s because throughout history, depictions of fairies have been both ethereal and monstrous. Today, the term fairy sparks imagery of ultra-feminine, wing-clad beings that frolic in the forest among flower gardens, mushrooms rings and trees.
Fairycore is not to be confused with the viral “cottagecore” aesthetic, which embraces sustainable living, comfortable dresses and DIY projects. Though they have similar nature-minded aspects, the fairy aesthetic takes this trend to the next level by adding magic into the mix.
Through its playful blend of fabrics and nature-reminiscent patterns, fairycore encourages us to lean into childlike wonder and style exploration. Because of this, there are many imaginative interpretations of fairycore. Exhibit A: the campy, theatrical take on the trend, which includes creators cosplaying as fairies with wings, elven ears and layered corset ensembles. There’s also grunge fairycore, a decidedly darker style that draws from ‘90s media like Charmed, with style elements such as arm and leg warmers, jewel tones and platform footwear.
Fantasy is central to the fairycore aesthetic. It taps into our collective childhood nostalgia and serves us the escapism of mythological lore. Much like couture, the style channels otherwordly fashion by taking us out of our current reality. But unlike the ultra-exclusivity of designer collections, fairycore is relatively easy to achieve. With a purposely mismatched, layered look, many elements of this Gen Z trend can be upcycled or thrifted. Fairycore brings fantastical fashion to all.
Interested in starring in your own fairytale? Here are some pieces to build your dream fairycore wardrobe this summer.

What To Look For When Looking For The Best Dandruff Shampoos
Now that you know all about the best dandruff shampoo for men and you have a clear idea of which product (or products) might suit you best, we’re going to consider exactly what to look for when making that all-important final decision.
Hair Type
First of all, you should think about your hair type before choosing the best dandruff shampoo for you.
Some, for instance, are effective for neutralizing naturally greasy hair, while others are good at moisturizing dry strands. Before making your choice, ensure your potential product is suited to your hair type.
Active ingredients
The best dandruff shampoo for men contains a key active ingredient that helps tackle dandruff and soothes the epidermis.
Each active ingredient has slightly different properties, and some are more natural (or less synthetic) than others. So before signing off on your best dandruff shampoo choice, check the active ingredient (or ingredients) and do a little research to check whether you’re comfortable massaging them into your scalp.
Size
When it comes to the best dandruff shampoo, does size really matter? Well, this really boils down to how frequently you need to use your product as well as the thickness and length of your hair.
Some powerful men’s shampoos come in small packages, while others come in bulk bottles. That said, you should think about your specific usage needs and pick a size or quantity that aligns with your preferences and budget.
Scent
Some fellas like a fruity scent, others like something a little more earthy—and there are gents that like no scent at all.
Once you’ve got the best dandruff shampoo shortlist, check the scent of each product and pick a smell you feel most comfortable with or like best.
Results & Reviews
Once you’ve considered all the key factors mentioned above, you should take your shortlisted dandruff elixirs and conduct a little Google research. When it comes to the best dandruff shampoos, it’s always looking at customer testimonials and reviews to ensure your potential product is likely to deliver on its promises.
Naturally, you’ll have to take some reviews with a small pinch of salt (there’s a lot of fake news out there these days), but with enough research, you’ll come to a fair conclusion on whether the best dandruff shampoo you use is likely to achieve the man mane-boosting results you deserve.
Dandruff shampoo works in a number of ways to tackle the issue head-on (pardon the pun) while improving overall skin health.
Certain active medicinal ingredients work alongside skin-enhancing vitamins to effectively wash away existing dandruff while slowing down the rate of skin cell buildup on the epidermis and keeping excess sebum at bay.
This melting pot of functions helps keep the epidermis balanced and healthy and significantly reduces the chances of experiencing those irksome, unwanted head flakes.
If your dandruff shampoo contains active ingredients that aren’t 100% natural (or, in other words, medicated substances), you should always read the instructions carefully to check how often you should apply it to your scalp. Typically, two to three times per week is the sweet spot.
When it comes to medicated dandruff shampoo, overapplication can cause scalp burning or irritation, so start with a smaller amount and increase with care if necessary.
To use a dandruff shampoo effectively, there are four steps you should take:
Wet your hair and massage the shampoo into your scalp for at least one minute
Leave the shampoo on your scalp for between three and five minutes
Rinse out thoroughly and use a little natural conditioner (check what’s compatible with your anti-dandruff product and hair type first)
Gently pat your head dry with a clean towel
While dedicated anti-dandruff shampoo is arguably the most effective way of tackling the issue, there are other home remedies you can try. These include:
I’m convinced we all have that one pair of activewear leggings that we prize above the rest. For me, my go-to pair changes on occasion, but for the past three months, the ones I’ve consistently been washing and wearing on repeat are the Old Navy High-Waisted PowerSoft Side-Pocket Leggings ($20-$40, originally $40). Without giving too much away (I’ll save that for my review ahead), they’re absolutely worth the hype they get on the brand’s website. Let’s break down what’s so great about them, shall we?
What I Like About These Leggings
The better question is, “What don’t I like about these leggings?” Shoppers agree: they’re top-notch. Nearly 1,000 reviewers have given them five stars because they are comfortable, stay put during even the most intense workouts, and are squat-proof (you can’t see through them when you bend down). I’m obsessed with them for all of those reasons and more. Another is that they have deep pockets, which are a game changer when I’m on a run, because I can fit my keys in one pocket and my phone in the other. Oh, and they stay dry no matter how intense your sweat session.
What’s Worth Noting
As mentioned, these leggings have exceptionally good reviews, but in a few cases, shoppers found them *too* snug. I personally didn’t have that problem; I ordered my usual size medium and they fit as expected. They are, indeed, pretty tight on the legs, but that’s exactly how I like them when I exercise.
They’re made of 77 percent polyester and 23 percent spandex, a slippery blend that I praise for its ability to keep my thighs from chafing on long runs. That said, though, this texture combo isn’t for everybody; some shoppers prefer a softer feel.
Finally, some people gave them low reviews for being too compressive. For that reason, I wouldn’t recommend these for lounging around the house but solely for high-impact workouts.
Who Are These Leggings Best For?
These leggings are best for those who love the look and feel of a sculpting compression fabric (hi, me).
Additional Details
These leggings come in sizes XS-4X.
They come in two colors: black (aka Black Jack) and brown (Date Palm).
To keep them in tip-top shape, the brand recommends washing them in cold water and tumble drying on a low heat setting.
What does it take for Rege-Jean Page to look that good? Apparently, not much.
“Sleep. Water. Good Vibes,” the actor told ELLE.com, revealing his secret recipe on a Zoom call from L.A. Beaming in a blue and white striped sweater, the actor was rather convincing. After long days on set in Bridgerton or after hosting Saturday Night Live for the first time, all he’d need to recharge is simply…rest and hydrate?
But perhaps it’s that effortlessness that helped Page land his new role as the face of Armani Code Parfum, announced today. After all, the new fragrance is said to channel “the contemporary man,” one that is “strong yet sensitive” and values connection—who better embodies that than the actor who brought those very characteristics to the Duke of Hastings?
Page admits he wasn’t a big fragrance guy prior, but he’s game to trying new things. “I’m open to experiences and people introduce me to something new, and I’m like, ‘oh, that’s kind of cool’ and kind of stick with that for a while,” he says. “But it takes something special to hold my attention.”
That try everything approach applies to his career as well. “My favorite thing about this job is continuing to reserve space to surprise myself, to reserve space to excite myself. And I think the best way to do that is not to cement what you think you want,” he says. After starring in the 2016 Roots remake, ABC’s legal drama For the People, and of course, Bridgerton, Page will next star in Netflix’s supersized action flick The Gray Man alongside Chris Evans, Ryan Gosling, and Ana de Armas. And it’s by Avengers directors Joe and Anthony Russo.
When asked who he wants to work with next, Page’s answer is just as simple as his beauty routine: “Absolutely everyone.”
Here, the heartthrob chats with ELLE.com about where he’d wear Armani Code, his favorite book, and what’s in his classified files.
How would you describe the fragrance Armani Code?
I would describe it as multifaceted. I think one of the things that excites me about it most is that there is a very intense initial presence, kind of traditional strong notes like the bergamot and then beneath that, in concert with it, you have softer, more floral notes like the Iris that allow you to have a lot of different angles to experience the fragrance from. So as different as you are yesterday to today, to tomorrow, there are different assets, facets of this fragrance that you can discover from day to day with yourself, with your different moods, with the different versions of yourself, you know?
Courtesy Armani
I want to give you a scenario: You’re wearing Armani Code. Where are you going out to? What outfit are you wearing? Set the scene.
[Laughs] Honestly? The joy of this thing is I could be going kind of anywhere. Like, I could be going to the beach, I could be going to a dive bar. I could be going to the Met. And to be honest, I’ve worn it to all three of those occasions. So it links into the previous answer I gave—it’s the multifaceted nature of the thing that means that different notes will come out in different scenarios. The same way that different versions of myself will come out in different scenarios, in different places.
On the topic of beauty and fragrance, I’m also curious about self-care. What does your self-care routine look like?
It’s very simple. Sleep, water, good vibes.
That’s it? That’s all it takes?
That’s it. Those are the most… Sleep, water, good vibes, moisturize. There you go, I’ll give you that much.
Okay. I’m sure SPF too, probably somewhere in the mix.
SPF somewhere in the mix. I’m not very disciplined with that, but I’m gonna have to be.
Any routines for a wind-down after a long down set?
Sleep. Water. Good vibes. [Laughs heartily]
That’s all it is. The simple recipe.
No but genuinely, I’m something of a minimalist with this. I think: keep things simple, but do them well. And sleep is one of the most underrated things in the world. If you’re well hydrated and you’re well rested, then the good vibes kind of take care of themselves. If you feel good, you will look good. That’s both kind of weirdly holistic, but also biologically sound, like when you feel good, when you are rested, your body can take care of itself. You know?
I’m curious to hear about what you’re working on as well. You have The Gray Man coming up in a couple weeks. Can you tell us a little bit more about your role?
[Laughs] Kind of, maybe, not really? I can put out that this guy is the head of the CIA clandestine services. So there’s a lot of sophistication, a lot of power to this character. There’s a lot of shadow and contrast to this character, it’s something that I don’t think people have seen a lot of from me specifically before, which was great fun for me to play with. But beyond that, not a huge amount. These people live in the shadows, you kind of gotta discover them in the movie.
Definitely. What was your prep like? Did it require a lot of physical training?
There was some. [Laughs] It’s all in the classified file.
Regé-Jean Page in The Gray Man.
Netflix
Got it. Did it feel bigger than any previous project you’d done in the past? The Russo brothers are attached and it’s a huge Netflix film.
I mean, the scope of the thing is insane. I think the Russos have talked about that publicly in terms of how many set pieces they have going, in terms of the size of their ambition for this project. When I watched this thing in a screening room, it physically shook me. So I don’t think that there’s any limits to how big this is. This is the biggest action movie that I’ve ever seen. And everyone just had such a ball of a time making it that I think that’ll translate pretty well. Also the fun thing about the Russos, they are such masters of genre that they can kind of turn on a dime between an absolute white knuckle adrenaline ride, and then this kind of [snaps] community-esque wink at the camera where everything is actually very funny, straight back into white knuckle action, you know? I think the way that they’re able to play with genre like that and make sure that everyone’s having this compelling, enjoyable experience through a movie with such weight is really quite special.
You have this and you have a Noah Hawley project in the works, that’s produced by by the Russo brothers. What are some things you’ve taken away from working with them?
They’ve imparted a lot of wisdom, actually. We got on really well. We had a couple of great productive, long conversations about business in general, about what they wanna make, what I wanna make. Out of that has come the collaboration with Noah, which is super exciting, which I can say absolutely nothing about. But I mean, you can’t get a better billing than that, between Noah Hawley and the Russos you’re in such incredibly good company.
But what’s almost more exciting is how that work comes about because the Russos are so generous with their time and with their creativity that, that project wouldn’t have come about. If we hadn’t been able to talk so freely and if they hadn’t taken the time to be interested and say, “Hey, that’s super interesting. We can run with that.” And so we are and so it’s a wonderful relationship to have and I’m looking forward to sharing more and more of the creative stuff we have coming out there because it certainly excites me.
“My dream role is the one that I don’t even have the capability of imagining yet.”
That’s amazing. In The Gray Man, you’re sharing the screen with Chris Evans and Ryan Gosling. What was it like working with them?
Inspiring. Much like the Russos, these are guys at the top of their game, who’ve seen it and done it and they’re doing it again but better, you know? And so being able to have a front row seat with that, being able to interact with guys who are working at this level is hugely inspiring. It’s a free master class every single day. And again, they’re very, very generous artists. They’re people who will give you their time, who will give you absolutely everything in moments of performance and moments off performance. So it’s a privilege.
Any specific pieces of advice they’ve given you as well?
You’ve wandered back into the classified file. [Laughs]
What does your dream role look like?
My dream role is the one that I don’t even have the capability of imagining yet. If that makes sense. Do you see what I mean?
Yeah. And you’ll know it when you find it.
When you see it, it’ll be something new, it’ll be something unexpected. That’s the dream.
Totally. It’s been a joy watching your career grow and evolve in the past few years. As you continue to rise and continue to put your work out there, what’s something that you want people to take away from you?
To take away from me? Man, ticket stubs? I don’t know. [Laughs] I hope that folks enjoy the work you put out. It’s something that you do that the joy of this job is that you do it to be observed. The things that you make are not made in private, it’s made to be made and then shared. And so you hope that people find something relatable. I was describing earlier in another interview, someone was asking which character I related to most. And I was saying, it’s kind of all of them because I find pieces of myself in different characters and discover those pieces of myself so that I know myself better. And then if you do the job right, you take all those pieces and you share them outwards in the performance, being that hopefully when you are in the theater, when you are sitting at home watching TV, you are looking at that and going and finding pieces of yourself and going, “Oh! I’m a little bit like that. Well, I never quite understood this about myself, but that makes [me feel understood].” I always feel like that. I suddenly feel slightly less alone because I see a piece of the world that I recognize in the work. And the more often that I can help give people that feeling that you have after you’ve read a good book and you feel just that little bit less alone in the world. You feel just more yourself. That’s the goal.
On the reverse of that, is there anything that you’ve watched or read recently that made you feel that way?
Ooh. I reread The Little Prince every couple of years, but I think that there are little pieces of that that always resonate differently each time I come back to it.

“I think my first trip to Hawaii was a vacation in Kauai,” contemplates Carolyn Murphy. “I was immediately captivated by the greenery and the lush tropical land—like I could see and feel the earth breathing.” This is a sentiment shared by her design partners. Today, just in time for International Surfing Day, the eco-minded and surf-loving supermodel launches Surf’s Up, her second upcycled collection with Lela Becker and Tim Kaeding of Los Angeles-based denim brand Mother. It’s also the third release of 60% Mother, which denotes the brand’s collections that are primarily made of repurposed vintage and dead-stock garments and textiles.
For the 12-piece capsule, which features patchwork tapestry ponchos, Hawaiian shirts, snug ribbed knits, and a beach tote, Murphy found the ideal muses in her three uncles, who shuttled between Hawaii and California in the 1970s chasing waves. One, Bob, designed logos for Op and Hang Ten, which kept Murphy, who grew up on the beaches of the Florida Gulf Coast, in surf gear. “It was only a matter of time,” says Murphy, before she grabbed a board of her own. “I always craved that freedom.”
“Everything is so seamless with Carolyn,” says Kaeding, a Honolulu regular whose wife’s Hawaiian roots go back to the 18th century. “She has a very clear aesthetic, and we also see eye to eye on the ’70s and California-inspired direction, which is the essence of Mother.” The laid-back vibe inspired by the surf cultures that Hawaii and California share also made the theme of this collection a no-brainer, according to Becker, who first traveled to Maui at the ripe age of 8 and visits Hanalei annually with her family. “I think Californians are naturally drawn by that spirit coupled with the epic beauty, vegetation, and landscapes the islands offer,” she says. “What’s not to love?”
The best part: $50,000 of the proceeds from the collaboration will be donated to the Save The Waves Coalition. “Surfing has been a part of Carolyn’s life since she was a young girl, and it was important to her and us that the collection supports an organization that protects surf ecosystems,” says Becker. “After all, summer wouldn’t be the same without the beach,” adds Kaeding. With that in mind, we asked Murphy, who has emerged as a champion of sustainability, to share some of her inspirations, design philosophies—and, of course, a few of her favorite looks from the Surf’s Up collection.
You’ve collaborated with a wide range of brands, from Shinola to Adeam. What lessons have you taken away from each? How have you approached your work with Mother differently—or not?
What I’ve learned from the various collaborations I’ve done is that a lot of work goes into a single item. The design process has many layers, but the ultimate goal is to create something people want and that you’re proud to put your name on. It’s all about teamwork, and that goes for any brand. This second collection with Mother was as heartfelt as the first one in the sense that we were excited by the process of collaborating and using upcycled garments. It feels like a responsible and fun challenge that we owe to ourselves and the fashion community: to lead by example. I like the ease and playfulness of what we’ve created both times, and the nod to laid-back American style.
You seem to have such an eye for design, whether it’s fashion or interiors. Where do you think that comes from?
I’m going to credit my nana for my eye in design and interiors—she was very chic and an artist. I was also traveling abroad from a young age, and in my career, was exposed to different people, cultures, and destinations, which helped influence and develop my personal style. It all comes down to the fact that I thrive on inspiration and creativity.
“Sustainability” is an intimidating word to some, who may not quite know how or where to begin. What does sustainability mean to you, and what are some of your sustainable practices?
I find that being labeled by or claiming anything around sustainability is intimidating. We live in a world where walking the talk entirely is unrealistic for most, but adapting simple lifestyle choices is a way to start. Buying used—whether it’s cars, clothes, or furniture—is a great starting point of recycling. Reusing items like bags and glass jars. Reducing waste by shopping at farmers markets, composting kitchen scraps, and skipping single-use plastic items.
Many of the items in the collection are upcycled. Aside from sustainability, what about vintage appeals to you?
Vintage is appealing because the hunt for pieces can be surprising; there is history around most of the garments, and the challenge in reworking them is so much fun.
When did you begin surfing, and what is the importance of surfing in your life?
I began surfing consistently in my twenties, but since I come from a family of surfers and grew up around the water, it was just a matter of time. I always loved the surf and skate culture (the boys too). My three uncles lived in California and surfed Rincon, and it dictated their lifestyle, which I always wanted. My uncle Bob designed the logos for OP, Hang Ten, Lightning Bolt, and other big brands. He unfortunately passed a few years ago, but was such a legend. His best friend was Mark Richards, and he hung with the Duke. He would show me pictures and tell stories about their trips. I always craved that freedom, and once I had a taste of it in Costa Rica in 1998, that was it!
Describe your perfect Hawaiian day and which Mother items would carry you through it.
My perfect Hawaiian day starts with a golden sunrise, plates of fruit, rooster crows, yoga, surf check, and surf—specifically, longboarding with my girlfriends in Oahu. An afternoon beach day either in the Waipio Valley of Kona or Hanalei on Kauai, followed by some exploring—I love hiking the Nepali Coast or taking the boat along the coastline, stopping to swim in the middle of the ocean—and a gathering with friends and family at night, perhaps over fish tacos or fish burritos from the Mermaids Cafe. I would have every Mother item from the collection, starting with my striped romper set. I’d probably throw on the tank dress at some point in the day at the beach, cover up in my mini caftan as the day cools off, and put on my Hawaiian shorts or mini at night.

Sometimes, two people that are destined to be together actually do find each other. And no, we’re not talking about Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde. More than just a muse, the pop singer’s creative kinship with Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele has taken the two from the red carpet to the stage (see: the theatrical Gucci jumpsuits Harry Styles has been wearing on tour). And now, the fashionable friends have birthed a collection of comical wares: Gucci HA HA HA.
“HA HA HA” represents not only the initials of Harry and Alessandro but also the way laughter is communicated via text message. The two have ended their cellular correspondence with “hahaha” for years, Gucci’s release reads, and it’s this exchange that grounds the collaboration.
“Harry has an incredible sense of fashion,” Michele stated. “The idea of working together came to me one day while we were talking on the phone: I proposed creating a ‘dream wardrobe’ with him…We ended up with a mix of aesthetics from 1970s pop and bohemian to the revision of the image of the gentleman in an overturned memory of men’s tailoring.”
Set to drop in October, the collection of jackets, coats, pants and accessories feature elements of English tailoring, like the use of Prince of Wales check to create double-breasted coats and accents like mother-of-pearl buttons. Alongside sartorial suits, treated denim jackets and velvet suits in irregular hues are printed pajamas and bowling shirts, lined coats with hoods and frog fasteners and pleated kilts with leather regulating straps.
